Hi,
I just upgraded from MilkShape 3D 1.6.6 to MilkShape 3D 1.7.4 and I noticed that I can no longer import or export Starfleet Command Mod files.
Does anyone know were I can get the plug-in for MOD files.

Belive they do not make plug ins for versions that high, i had some probelms even getting version 1.7.2 working right with star trek models a couple of my compters. You probely will have to down grade back to a differnet version, unless somebody else has a work around that i do not know of.

download the plugins off the Milkshape website. I couldn't get the plugins to work with 1.7.2 until I downloaded them from there. There's a plugin pack that will allow you to upload from Armada, SFC, and BC if I remember.

If you know C++ programming you could develop a new plug-in to ensure capability with MilkShape 3D 1.7.4. I believe that the orginal creator of the plug-ins, Chris Graham, had made his source code available. Also, I believe that no one is supporting the plug-ins.
Here's a link to a tutorial for Coding a Milkshape 3D Plugin

you should just copy and paste the sfcexporter.dll and sfcimporter.dll from your Milkshape 1.6.6 folder to your 1.7.4 folder, i use version 1.7.4 and the plugins work fine for me ;D

why can i open some models and not others in milkshape[ver. 1.7.4.]?
is there a poly cap?if so what is the max?

the problem is in the Milkshape importer, i had exported some ships from Milkshape to SFC2 Mod but could not reimport them into Milkshape

Yes, there is a limit on the number of polys you can have in Milkshape. I believe it is somewhere around 60,000.
