Looks like they stole an idea directly from Macross Plus, right down to what the computer brain looks like and what some of the planes look like!

Now THIS is the movie that looks pretty cool.

Sorry about the second one, it shows more of the storyline, but the link is darn gosh long...

It's the only place I could find the second trailer.

I watched it, and although seems a nice story concept, I tend to agree that it had been borrowed from the Macross Universe. In a way, the broader audience that doesn't watch Japanese Animation (or Star Trek for that matter, taking "The Ultimate Computer" [TOS] into mind) might watch this. Somewhat interesting (albeit a useless fact) that it will be released a decade (actually a year over a decade) after Macross Plus's debut as an OAV across Japan.

No one checked this out? http://www.sonypictures.com/movies/zathura/index.html

It looks good Toasty, but I feel it's as if it was Jumanji 2, only more of a space/sci-fi-based game rather than a jungle-based game. I still might watch it.

That does look like it could be good, but it also looks very similiar to Jumanji (sp?). The whole board game that makes things happen trick.

I believe this was the one played at Showest that shows off more of the FX in the upcomming movie.

This reminds of a quote I used to keep over my writing desk.
