Title: A little time off does wonders...
Post by: FPF-SCM_TraceyG_XC on March 14, 2005, 11:41:40 pm
Hello, I'm back....

<I can hear my voice echoing>....

What's hapenned to this place while I was gone and why is to so dark in here??

<turns on a light, sees dust and cobwebs everywhere>

Hello.... <echo><echo>

Hmmm.... <finds a nearby control panel flickering on and off, wipes away the dust, activates the console>

D2 FORUM IN HIBERNATION MODE  - MAIN POWER OFFLINE

Hmmm... <gets out tricorder, scans power conduits>

Ahhh, I see the problem...

<opens an access panel to the EPS manifold system>

Something seems to be lodged in the way between the power converter and the plasma flow...

<scans again with tricorder>

What the...

<reaches inside and pulls out what appears to be a scorched but still intact ancient tome>

"The Alternate Guide and Handbook to the Advanced D2 Soul: A collection of short stories, past, present and future"

I wonder how this got in here...

<Realines the plasma conduit, returns to the control panel>

SYSTEM IS ATTEMPTING TO RESTART, ACCESS CODE REQUIRED

<enters at the prompt> Password: J'inn you bastard!

The control panel flickers again, then goes dark. Gives it a kick.

ACCESS GRANTED, PLEASE WAIT 3 HOURS WHILE SYSTEM REBOOTS SEVERAL TIMES, THANKYOU FOR USING ANOTHER FINE SNICKERS, INC. PRODUCT. HAVE A NICE DAY

Ooooookkkkk.... I might as well take a look inside this book while I wait...

<wipes off the plasma burns from the cover, starts flicking through it and begins reading from a random page>

Chapter 23: The fire and forget principle, by Fluf

"What's hapenned to this place while I was gone and why is to so dark in here??"

It's all Tracey's fault.   ;)

Glad to see you back.

In your absence (and Dog's), I asked BBJ for admin access to SFC2.net.  He posted saying that he did, but I seem to have no more access then before!

There were requests to add/delete some forums, and change mods of some existing forums.

If anyone needs a change, I'd suggest asking Tracey G.  now  that she is back and can actually do it  ;)

I think Toasty's stuck in code...

Careful, if you give it enough time you'll lose your body and become an Intel chip ;D
