Title: Acrantophis Dumerili - The Dumeril's Boa
Post by: IndyShark on March 19, 2005, 10:20:55 pm
Here is my female Dumeril's Boa. I took some pictures of the male and I'll post them later. Dums are CITES Class 3 endangered animals. They are endangered in the wild and only found in the wild on the island of Madagascar. It is illegal to buy or ship these animals internationally. The only animals you can legally own are CBB animals like these....

Beautiful animal. What do ya feed them? I'd think that'd be the fun part.  ;D

P.S. (What's CBB stand for?)

Captive born and bred. I TRY to feed them frozen mice. THe female turns her nose up at that. She likes live. I will try to wean her off that. Live prey can carry parasites and hurt the boa.

Thank you for the compliment. I'll post pictures of the male shortly!

Here is the male, Ridgeway. Named after one of my favorite generals. This is a very nice snake. He is very tame and very nice looking.

Thank you sir! I understand exactly how you feel about your puppies! I feel the same way about these little snakes.
