I just dropped in to say "Hi!" and see how things were going. Sounds like same-old, same-old.
I hope all are doing well. Things are pretty cool with my family. Jessica is 3 yrs old and started pre-school, last week. Alyson is now 16 months old and quite a little beast. I thought Jess was hell on two legs, but Aly has her beat! Judie (my wife) is out of teaching and working as a paralegal now. American Express is spinning off American Express Financial Advisors, so the job I migrated down to Phoenix from Minneapolis is going back to Minneapolis...and mostly likely, I'll be going with it. Out of the frying pan and into the deep freeze, I guess. :)
Anyway...
I hope everyone is still enjoying themselves here. I thought it would seem different coming back in here and reading some messages (it's been about 7 months for me), but it was scary how quickly it felt like I had never left...hehehe.
Feel free to post in this thread. I'll check back in and respond. Alternatively, you can contact me by e-mail if that is your preference. PM me if you need it. I don't check my hotmail account anymore and I don't log into MSN Messenger (on purpose).
I'd be happy to hear from ya...

PM'd you already. ;D

Mah brutha!
Good to hear things are well with your clan. Was listening to Parliament a couple weeks ago and thought about you and what you were up to. Say howdy to Fluf and the rest of the Eve addicts for me and good luck moving back to the Lesser White North.

Hey Doggy,
Krueg dragged me kicking and screaming back to play on GW5 - heck I was gone for over a year! Not sure if I'm going back to the ol' cats home or not yet. You're right about the forum though, nothing really changes except maybe different people. Glad to hear all is well with you.

Hiya Doggy,
Guess Squiggy, Gook, Kor and I aren't the only ghosts haunting this board. Glad to hear things are going well. I've got two boys and a girl myself. Looks like the second wave of the Crimson Horde is well underway.

You named him Shawn? ;)
Meow Shawn, just to let you know, looks like I'll be stateside May 28th to June 11th (East Coast again). Perhaps this time you can make it to NYC (or elsewhere)?

HOWDY! I'm glad to see you and your family are doing well.

Small world. LOL. I just interviewed for a Amerian Express Financial Advisor spot here in Charlotte, NC. If only I would have known I knew a big-wig in the company! ;) I hear it now. "Give me the job. I am a friend of Lord Dogmatix of the KBF." Hmmmm, on second thought, maybe that wouldn't have worked either. ::)
Glad to hear from you. Take care.

Hey, Doggy!
Nice to hear from you again. Drop back often! You don't have to play, just tell us how you are doing. Glad to hear about your family doing well and your wife's new career move. Hopefully your new job, despite the cold, will feel like going home.
-S'Cipio (Married with three kids now. You want to convert Daughter #2 into a *real* terror, make her a "middle child"! Oh, the humanity.....)
-
Shouldn't you be making stuff for us over in Eve? BTW, I have x4 1400mm projectile guns I need to try out, wanna help?
Hooch
-
Um, that would likely go under the catagory of "Can I do a weapons test on you?"
Everyone in corp knows the answer already :)
It's all fun and games, until someone loses an interceptor!
-
Hooch, you bastard!
Stop stealing our players for EVE!!!!

API - Dateline - Washington - 4/25/2005
The Retirment Home Guard Union strike seems to be having unintended consequences across the nation. Reports are coming in from every corner of the U.S. of elderly and, sadly, senile unwashed old men roaming the streets. All of them mumbling incoherently about magic photons, eve, and cheese. Based on the odors reported the CDC believes the "cheese" is a bio-hazard being made by the unwashed hordes.
The editoral board begs the President to become involved and issue an order ending the strike in the name of public safety. For now, lock your windows and unplug your modems.

Oh, yeah, the "oh so benign and munificent elder Klingon and D2 icon...".. Have you guys ever worked for him?
(from the vaults)
Far: Hi, CW2 is my first campaign, but I've played SFB forever, what do you want me to do?
Dog: Go to the Mirak front. When you stop dying against the AI, and then kill a ive player, report back. Talk to you in a a few days - maybe. Bye.
<of course as D2 Klingon this is a compliment...I guess>
-
yeha far, but doesn't DH treat you the same way? :P
-
Wow...nice to hear from you guys! :)
I'm sorry it took me about a week to get back here, but seeing several of you joining "the other game" recently, I felt I was moved to come back in here again. Rather than reply about 20 seperate times, I'll try to keep my responses to the above in one message.
Krueg, Saxon, Sears and Soth:
Wow...that almost sounds like a Klingon law firm. ;D Hail, Brothers! I trust you'ver been keeping The Empire safe since I've been gone...you always had before when I was there and I can't imagine that you've suddenly stopped doing it. I miss being on you guys' wing. We had many a good time killing bad guys. ;) Sears, along with a few other new arrivals, has taken the plunge into "the other game." I'm seeing more of him now and that's a good thing.
Gook:
What...you withhold important, decision-making/breaking information from me? Perish the thought! heheh....you're evil, man. All that time..you knew and you just let it happen! heheh...good to hear from you, Bro. I heard you were playing EVE...or at least had a while back. You still in there at times? We could always use another warrior in the group and you were always one of the best. I hope you and yours are well!
Kzinbane:
Damn..Socky's right...lots of ghosts coming out of the woodwork. Good to hear from you, too. I'm sure any return I might make in SFC would probably just make me look bad...I'd been goin "J'inn" on asteroids and stuff, i'm sure of it. In EVE, you bounce off rocks and warp through planets and such. Guns, missiles, drones and smartbombs kill you, but nothing else really does. I actually almost did come back for the last installment of GW but I heard how things were going and figured it probably wasn't a good idea because I'd have just flown Roimulan with my Brother Warriors. Maybe some other time.
C-Los:
Howdy, man...hope you're well! We survived the "2's" with Jessica...she's 3 yrs old now and pretty sweet. She's really bossy, though...thinks she runs the place. Sounds like Admiral Wifey, actually. ;D Aly, on the other hand, is the devil incarnate. She's about as mischievous a kid as I've ever seen. Very cute, but damn...her motor goes non-stop and she has quite a temper. Very Klingon, actually...heheh.
Sockfoot::
Good to hear from ya, you old warhorse. I hope all is well with your family. I have no idea how you handle three kids. It's all I can do to keep my head above water with the two little terrors I have! They really eat into my leisure time...but then again, it's pretty cool to play with them too. There's a point each day, though, that I can't take any more of the Doodlebops, Boobah or the Wiggles or playing tea party with the kids, Buzz Lightyear and Woody and I have to log into EVE and break stuff. It get cranky when I don't get that time...heheh. What are you up to these days, gaming-wise?
Frey, Corbomite and t00l:
Wow....very cool to hear from you guys, too. I miss flying with you guys as well. I hope everything is going well in your gaming and real lives, as well. I'm sure Frey is continuing to consolidate and build his empire. Nice work, bud. Corbo...have you started your business yet? I hope things are going well for you. I miss your wit and guidance. I had heard you were thinking of checking out EVE. Contact me, if so. I'd be glad to help ya learn the ropes (as I know them, anyway. ...and t00l...you still drinking that cheap scotch and dating Long Island chicks? tsk tsk! ;) I miss ya, bud...
Mog:
I caught up a bit with you yesterday on EVE. It was good to chat with ya. The timing of your visit might be difficult for me to work with, but if there's a chance I can get to the east coast when you're hear, I'll do what I can. I was totally bummed I missed your tour last year. I heard it rocked and I was very jealous to have missed out on all the fun! It sounded like you were getting the hang of mastering EVE's mechanics after only six days in the game. I can't say i'm shocked, because you certainly mastered SFC. Just more of the same kind of excellence I'm come to expect from you. Heck, I think you caught on more quickly than I did...heheh.
SirGod:
Named a pup after me, huh? I'm flattered, whether is was "Shawn" or Dogmatix...heheh. I hope all is well with you and your wife. I know you were going through a rough patch a while back and I don't think I've had an update in quite a long time. I hope things have improved.
Agave:
Wow...it is a small world! I wouldn't drop the "Lord Dogmatix" name at AEFA (heh...we call it "SpinCo" right now, due to the spin-off)...they're liable to call for an ambulance or something...cart you off to a padded room....heheh. What position were you applying for? I'm in the finance group (internal reporting). My pieace of it is currently based in Phoenix, but it's moving back to Minneapolis probably just in time for the dead of winter....and I think i'm going with it. *gasp* I wish you luck...and I remember some good times flying with and against ya.
Laflin:
And I thought I was rid of you, you cheese-boating punk! Glad to see you were well (relatively speaking). Now that I haven't played SFC2 in nigh on 8 months, you might actually have a chance at getting some internals. How nice for you! ;) Seriously, though....no wait...that was serious...I think. ;)
Walleye:
Heh..I'm probably going to have to get you to come into the city (Minneapolis) often so we can go sit at Brits or The Local and I can whine about how frigging cold it is. I'm skeered. :o All signs are pointing to it being the freaking dead of winter when I'd move up there. Talk about adding insult to injury. I do like what I've seen of Minnesota, though. Maybe if I live up there we'll finally find the time to get together. I wonder if I can talk Gow into coming out of hiding and meet with us...
S'Cippy:
Well, I was honestly so shocked at havign to father two kids, Admiral Wifey and I decided we'd get her tubes tied so we didn't have anymore more unexpected births...heheh. Alyson is going to have to be a hellion on her own merits (and she's doing quite well at it, too). I shudder to think how it would be to have three kids. Anyway..i'm going to try to stop in here a little more often. Doing so this time has reminded me of how much I missi interacting with a lot of you.
Max:
Ah yes..."weapons tests" or "Let me tell you about the time 3x 200 ISK cruise missiles cost me 20 million ISK."
Hooch
Bring it on. I'm sure I'll have a little something to lob back at you with extreme prejudice. ;)
Far:
Heh...the old trial-by-fire method of Klingon advancement through the ranks. You did great then, my friend...and those were good times. If you think that was fun, some on over to EVE...I have another fun thing for you to try. We call it "tackling." This is when a frigate is armed with a micro-warp drive and some warp disruptors and rushes at battleships hoping to pin them down (tackle) long enough for the damage ships in the fleet to kill the target. Survival rate is very low. BTW...a Fred (Weamz) with a week-old character came down to low-security space with us when we joined the Fountain Alliance. Now he's one of the richest guys in our corp. His job when we made the move down from Empire space was to run point. If he got blown up entering a system, we knew we needed to stop and safe-spot. :o He lived and no-one got ganked on his watch.
That should do it for now...forgive the (I assume) numerous typos...heheh.

Hey Dog, glad to hear things are going well for you and the family old friend. Yeah I am still the angry old Klingon of the group. If I'm not pissed and screaming about something or breaking furniture in the great hall you know something is wrong.
Been in the new house out here in the woods of CT for two years now and really love it, I am in the east past of the state in the lakes region and have bought a 12 ft kayak and am having a blast with it.
Also have a new cycle,, and get this ,, it's a Vulcan LOL. Saw a guy selling an original stock 1985 with low miles and grabbed it.
It is kind of sad seeing fewer and fewer of my old friends still in the game, but I suppose i will be here for at least awhile longer. Really miss the old yelling and screaming we used to have on voice durring battles, we have become more civilized Klingons, spits! But we are still having fun out here.
Krueg has taken over your old spot as leader and is doing one hell of a job. He reminds me a lot of you when you were out here on the old CW days.
Well best to you and the family, great hearing from you as always.
