Title: Mirror Test server is public
Post by: FPF-DieHard on May 15, 2005, 10:34:23 am
Get the shiplist and fighter list below . . . .

http://69.115.120.11:9000/images/Mirror_Specs.zip

The Missions are from the ED coerpack, I believe everyone should have then installed at this time as they are the same ones from SGO4 and GW5.

PS:  Frey, when can I move this to THOR?

I don't have the bandwidth to host a 7 MB installer anymore, that's why I'm asking if anyone can find the ED Corepack installer link

Blue hexes within Terran Empire space do not appear to be dropping when a mission is successfully run in them.  I am not sure if this is intentional or not, but it is occuring nonetheless.

Nor do hex DVs seem to be dropping in neutral hexes either.

I could not recreate this issue.

PS.   Fed ships with the Klink Interface is really cool   ;D

Kinda freaky ... but it works well.  Haven't seen a problem yet.  :D

I noticed that the Blue Feds have 3 planets within 8 or less from the front lines (8, 5 and 3)...while the Red Feds nearest resupply point is 13 away (13, 14 and 14) from the front. The Blue Feds also have 3 more planets than the Red Feds inside their home space.
Other than that, the maps on each side are identical.
Why not have planets in similiar positions for the Red Feds?
Also noticed the Blue Feds start on the planet closest to the neutral border, while the Red Feds start at the planet farthest away from the neutral zone...

It's because I knew you would find something to complain about so I set it up  ;D

Seriously I *thought* the planets were equal, and in the same location.
I'll take a look.

EDIT OK erroneus planets at 25,21 and 27,21 (Fed space) have been removed.
These planets were not supposed to be there. (Have you tried using artifex??)
Do you have the loc for the third plaent (8 from the Neutral zone)
I'm going blind trying to find the stupid thing..

Red planets are at 1,10-1,7 and 2,6.
I traveresed both sides carefully, mapping locations of all planets and bases for both sides. Other than the 3 xtra planets in Blue space, both maps are "Mirrored" in base and planet locations.

Ok Spaceman Spiff..

There is an evil planet at 7 16
Also noticed I left the Econ for those hexes at 10, should be 20 (not that it actualy matters but)

Thanks for the catch Kreug- these are the details (note careful refrain from word "mistakes") I'm looking for
The maps are supposed to be an exact Mirror of each other, now if I missed an asteroid, or had a neb on one side and a black hole
on the other I really don't care. The bases and the planets are what's important.

I'll wait a day or two before sending the map off to DH again (in case anything else was missed) but removal of
the planets at 25,21 and 27,21 should have the Feds start on the same hex as the Empire.

Remember guys, eack mistake you catch is a chance to make me look stupid now and will make it easier& quicker
to get to the part where you can kill me on the server!

I played on and off Sunday as Federation.  I saw no problems.  I presume the shiplists are identical, and the shipyard/economy starts out identical?

Got on the test server yesterday. Ran 10 missions and saw no problems. The only thing I found kind of interisting was doing base assalts. In the first base assalt, there was my ship (NCL) and a DD. Defending the base was a DD and a BCE :o   On the second assalt there was my NCL and another NCL Vs. two NCLs and a BCE   :skeptic:

I see that Base assalts are going to be a little tough ;D

I was outclassed too by support ships on base assault. I also noticed that only my missions were showing up on the NEWS even though Lear and Paladin were running missions for the other side. This was over a period of about 45 minutes that we were on.

i  have found that some times the patrol with 3v3 dosent always change a hex value. It happened once in a blue  blackhole  hex and  once in a neutral one. I have had it affect the same  hexes also. Just someting to keep an eye out for.
