saw some beautifull armada 2 ships on terradhynes site. inspired by them i began searching for some cool mods for armada 2 on armada2filefront. found alot of great stuff. so i thought it would be cool to have some of those for sfc2.
sure, they arent as high poly as most sfc ships but at the moment im limeted to a quit old computer as well as some friends of mine. we enjoy having battles on lanparties and thode ships would realy be a solution.
could someone convert some for me please?
mostly tmp stuff an a kitbash.
any help is highly appriciated.i could do some retexturing in return.
greatings,

There are a number of A2 models converted for SFC3 use on SFC3 Files (http://www.sfc3files.com) and Battleclinic (http://www.battleclinic.com/halo_skin/docks/dock.php)
-
already checked. another problem is that most ships at battleclinic are for sfc3.using sfc3 models in sfc2 causes some problems with the hardpoints. i can chose between nonworking phasers or phasers shooting from heavy weaponshardpoints wich looks very silly. ???

It's an easy enough fix if you have a program like Max or Milkshape. Just redo or rename the model hardpoints.
-
dont have those.i heard max is pretty expensiv. what about milkshape? can i convert A2 ships with it?

Milkshape will work, however it will not import non-stock models from A2, or at least not the plug in I tried. Also, I don't believe that Milkshape will create the Break Models, but don't quote me on that.
-
You can download Milkshape for free and use it for 30 days. After that, you have to pay $25 to register it to continue using it. I don't really know about the limitations that Victory mentioned since I only really use Milkshape to convert files. I do everything else in 3ds max. The 3ds max plugins for sfc2 and 3 will only work in versions 3, 4, and 5. Since these are older versions, you may be able to find one cheap.

Hello,
You can use cv to edit hardpoints of *.mod files, and export/import them between models.
http://www.assimsoft.com/archive/cv/
I use it for resizing models, editing HPs, and converting models from SFC2 to SFC3.
