Title: Please excuse my lack of knowledge and excessive curiosity, but...
Post by: Chris Johnson on May 25, 2005, 09:48:55 pm
...What's with all the stuff about J'inn?  I'm just really curious about it, since each time I explore these boards (I believe my lack of participation in any Dynaverse game since Summer of 2001 has something to do with my lack of knowledge.) I see something about him.  It sort of reminds me of a title of a movie I've never seen... *shrug*

Again, bear with me and excuse the ignorance that had been blissful to me since 2001...

He's a bastard  ;D

Too short of a description.

Think of J'inn as a combination Ferengi/Orion/Kzinti/lawyer with a hint of Jerry Lewis thrown in.   He likes booze, lives in fear of his girl friends (Shopasaurus Rex) shopping expeditions is a serial squirrel murderer and has nightmares of colliding with asteroids.  He also writes up his "escapades" and posts them here leading to general amusement.

That should do for a start.

  sits back and waits for J'inn to start the denials.

Much to my horror I keep finding myself having to give + Karma to a lawyer.  I may need therapy (and a Lawyer to sue J'inn for damages)

...What's with all the stuff about J'inn?

Dear Mr. Johnson:

Allow me to explain.   It's really quite simple you see.

IT"S ALL LIES!!!

For years now on these boards I have suffered from endless abuse.   J'inn you bastard.   J'inn you weasel.   Blah Blah Blah.

I can't even avoid it at work (mainly due to my forumaholicism).   Can you image my stress when I'm at work and I see <sniff> someone calling me a bastard.    Why just yesterday I saw such a comment while at work and I was so upset that I couldn't even finish the foreclosure petition against that stupid Orphanage.   Now what am I going to tell my client the bank?   Oh sorry Mr. Bank President but you have to let those freeloading little snots keep living there for another week instead of being on the street where they should be because I, your wonderful lawyer, has stress?   Oye.

Furthemore, I have yet to figure out a way to make money on this game.  I tried a pay for play server but there seems to be a little legal issue with selling peoples credit card information to my Nigerian friends.  (Hey, the real money is int he information selling not the pay for play part!)

Sure, sure, I tried some other sales ideas but those weasels at Paramount sure are touchy about their stupid copyright.   Like Star Trek actual makes them any money!!  Hmmph.

Now, my lawsuit against Frey for allowing these boards to continue to contact such malicious lies against me.   NO THAT!!! If I say so myself.  Was genius.  But of course what else should I expect from moi?  <sigh>  But then I found out that he's a poor bastard.   Never sue poor bastards!   Well unless you're bored.

But I'm not bored. I keep plenty active here.   I try to help out my fellow D2er.  I know I know.  It is hard work.  But it's because I love.  Heck, I even charge them a reduced fee.   <sniif>  I'm wonderful aren't I?

I'm not even going to go into the whole asteroid thing.   Grrrrrrrrrrrr.

So in short . . .    J'inn = Loving and Caring.   J'inn Bashers = Poor misguided souls.  Pity them. Tsk.

Cordially,

Yer Pal J'inn

Hey, Jinn is a lot of things but it has been established for years now that NAIL is the Bastard.

Get yer sh*t straight.

With DH pimping Jinn's bastardliness now, another room is reserved in "Flaming Bastard Hell" tm.

I'll see if I can make those adjoining rooms, DH. You'll need someone to keep walking in and interrupting those nocturnal activities you love oh so much.

Yer pal,

Mat

Actually, I think that Nail needs a new catchphrase. He talks so much about all the damage he's gonna do on a server and then what happens?

He never shows up. I submit for your approval a new catchphrase:  Nail is a wuss.

Opinions?

Thanks Chris for allowing us to talk about one of our favorite subjects:    J'inn!!

Can't wait to see a screenshot of J'inn getting deposited into a blackhole on the Mirror, Mirror server.   ;D   (hope it happens to him before me)

Hmmmm, now I know what to do with the stuffed squirrel my cousin sent to me.

Hey, J'inn, WATCH OUT for large UPS boxes!!    You're gonna love it!!

Your pal,

Agave

J'inn was a bastard while Nail was still in diapers.

He's finally out of diapers now?  Thank God that phase is over at least.

Chris,

Every hobby's community needs some sort of common bond.  Normally, this bond is based upon an enjoyment of the hobby itself.  However, in our case it is actually based upon bashing J'inn.  Yes, I must agree, that does seem a pretty weak link.  However, I do recommend you at least try it before you think any less of it.

Now, repeat after me ... "J'inn, you bastard"

There ... doesn't that just, well, feel good?

This community wouldn't still be here if not for the fact that J'inn absorbs all the abuse that would go into flaming each other. Being a lawyer and a bastard helps him maintain an even strain around the rest of us lunatics. Nobody wants to go back to the bad old days of flamewars between Nanner, Gow, and Brez. J'inn provides timely humor and never fails to crack me up. Be it killer squirrels or an insane shopaholic girlfriend, he comes loaded with a sense of humor that never fails to lighten the mood around here.

Chris, I hope you read the "J'inn Scotch Dilemma" , classic J'inn.

Sorry J'inn, somebody had to say it.   ::)

All fun aside, J'inn is very gifted at making everyone laugh and I look forward to his next public conundrum as the other guys here.

I'd just whisk him off to Canada to get married, wait a year and then divorce him.

Alimony can be a nice source of income.  :)

LIES!!!  SCANDALOUS LIES!!

We never eat our paying clients.   It does tend to cut off the cash flow.

There is, however, a small kernal of hidden wisdom in this statement . . . . .
