Pretty cool.  Looks like it's Klingon and/or Romulan influenced technology, but I have no idea because I've never heard of the Carnivon before.  The only real experience I have with SFB is an old edition my dad has game my dad has (I think it was called "Designer's Edition" and I think the manual said that it was the second edition of the game).  It only had Federation, Klingons, Romulans, Gorn, Kzinti, one Orion ship, and one Tholian ship.  I played through some of the single player scenarios, but I could only get a couple of my friends to actually learn how to play.

Thanks guys.

The Carnivons are distant relatives of both the Lyrans and Kzinti, only they're canine.  Both of the feline species hated them and pretty much beat them out of the sector (I think they fled to the Omega Sector, but someone else can correct me if I'm wrong).  I reckon they deserve another chance to bite back and kick those kitties into touch.

Those are really sweet looking models, MR. I throw stuff like this into my game's "Neutral" slot. I have all sorts of unexpected nasties there. Like Frax, Triaxians, etc... These will make a cool addition. Thanks, man. 8) :thumbsup:

I'm very excited to see all the attention recently being paid to races OTHER then the big 3. Very refreshing and sorely overdue. Azel's pre-TOS fleets were a great start. You sir are taking it to next level. Combine this with Rod's recent Korgoth and Orion retextures, and my misc. freighters and shuttles , I believe is adding even more dimension to this ever expanding game. Keep it up.

Yes, MP, that stuff was great, anything else that gives me something to toy with is always welcome.

I'm enjoying taking on some of the more obscure races, even in this rather piecemeal fashion - and I'm pleased to see that my interpretations are going down well with you all.

Erratic working hours, fractured attentioned span and other commitments are limiting my creative time, but I'll keep hammering them out as fast as I can - and I do aim to fill out the fleets for all the races I've started.  I'm also playing around with the Vudar, Frax and the utterly bizarre Lloriyans [sp] at the moment (as well as a few others).  Anyway, you can be assured there are more to come.

Does anyone have a link to review some of the "older designs" of these races ..  perhaps I can do a couple of sketches of "TNG" or "Late TNG" version.
