You would rather have Ford or GM or Chrysler move in? In case you have not noticed, those companies are not doing so well, and GM is rated"junk" in the bond market.

GM is laying off people, so is Ford, but Toyota and Honda do not, so who would YOU rather work for?

I'de much rather have a Japanese or German car maker set up shop here.  Those companies are doing far better than their American counterparts.

That's why I'm glad Hyundai built in Montgomery and Mercedes in T-loosa instead a Detroit company.

Didn't GM acquire Saab? I <3 my Saab. My mother just got a new 95 Turbo, I am in heaven!

Point being, provided they don't butcher those companies they just acquired, they'll be fine.

The South and Southwest are where it's at nowadays if you want affordable housing AND a decent paying JOB!  ;D
