Whiskers, the Kzinti Intelligence Service has detected a previously unknown class of Federation Command Cruiser. The ship was detected probing the Neutral Zone. The ship appears to be a long range design capable of operating for extended periods without returning to base. Strangely enough, the ship seems to be equipped with humongous hydroelectric engines instead of the standard warp nauticles. The design seems to utilize planetary ice rings to recharge its storage batteries and a discharge system to expell used propulsion gases and other waste materials. The sensor array at the front of the cruiser also seems to be detachable and used for some sort of repair purpose involving application of a tractor beam.
Little else is known about the ship other than it name which was read off the hull plate and revealed to be the USS Peecup. It is suspected that Captain Die Hard was in command.

Starfleet Admirals are reportedly flushed with success over the trial runs of the Peecup and more editions of the new cruiser are said to be coming down the pipe as they take the plunge with this line.
