Well I’ve had a few rough days recently, feeling like total crap due to a stomach bug of some sort and then on Monday i got my degree results :(
I managed to get my degree, though not the grade i wanted, deeply disappointed and pissed off cause i know i could of done better.
Managed to get a lower second which is a 2:2, though my aim was to get a 2:1. It all boils down to the fact that i had to do two group based assignments which ended up me doing all the work myself and the rest of my group doing sweet FA which got me behind in my final dissertation and exam revision.
It shouldn’t hurt my job prospects that much, but I’m deeply disappointed
Anyway enough of my ranting…

Shoot man, sometimes It takes more work to Work with a group, then actually do the assingment. I hope things work out for ya though.

Group work is fine providing everyone in the team contributes towards a common goal, aim or target, when everyone refuses to do work and your left alone to do it all, it sucks.

I couldn't agree more. This is one reason why I like Boxing over Football or other team sports. I'd much rather do something myself, then have to rely on others. Heh, in a way, It's in direct contrast to my job as a Moderator, as I feel I get along pretty well with everyone here, and on the Mod/admin team.
still man, Good luck finding a job, you doing those by yourself speaks alot about your character.

People in the same group I am in have a certain understanding. They do their part, or I will kill them all.

Congrats Grim...just had my first year results and scraped a 2:1, which was from plain luck in me finding and identifying a 1000 year old watercourse next to a ruined abbey in Mid Wales..( Strata Florida ).
Again Congrats.

Hey Grim, at least you got a degree! Can you believe I have over 140 credit hours with a pretty darn good G.P.A. but not one single degree? For some reason my brain will not or cannot fathom high level mathematics, I know how to count money, pay bills, and do gains or losses, other than that I'm flucked!
Don't worry and be HAPPY! If you cannot get a job over there, feel free to give the U.S. a try! ;) As was said in Team America, us Yanks are D***s, but it's good to be a d**k as d***s flack you know whats. ;)

Ya gotta see the last part of the unrated/ adults only version of "Team America" to understand the last phrases. It pretty much sums up us Yanks though you WILL NEVER hear a politician speak so frankly. I'm proud to be an American d**k! ;D

As for the degree part? Way back when in TX, the history and govt. and mathematics dept.s at U.T. were struggling with enrollment. So they filled the pockets of the TX state senate and a nice bill was passed that you HAVE to have some credit hours in each of those dept.s to obtain your degree, does not matter if you will need the knowledge from those courses or use it, it's TX STATE LAW. So... Jack sucks at anything beyond pre-algebra, so no takie those mandatory courses, Jack no gettie a degree in ANYTHING! >:(

Thanks and Congrats to you as well Dragoon :)
And thank you all for your comments, i'm not as annoyed as i was after speaking to a recruitment consultant, my degree in Business at 2:2 level should be fine to get a decent job. Still waiting to see how close i was off a 2:1, there is only 10% difference between the grades and my tutor told me i was very close to obtaining it.

Thanks Grim, and no probs for the congrats, a degree still means something, especially in business. Now if you did a degree in Madonna studies or something......!? ;D
