I installed OP numerous times and not even on the initial SFC v2.5 install can I see any ships when I run a skirmish.
Anyone ever had this problem?
Obviously the game worked on this PC last year. Only big change is that I am using DirectX 9.0c
All my other games work, BTW. :/

DX9c works here.

Never heard of this before . Im sure you deleted all you folders from your Hard drive before reinstalling it? I hope you grt it worked out.

YOu have multiple installs?
If you installed a new shiplist... does the shiplist point to the correct folders?
-
didn't think of this first, but did you install OP+ 4 first?
-
The problem is deeper than any shiplist modifications. I cannot even see the stock models from a virgin install of Orion Pirates right off the CD.
This is too strange. :banghead:

I had no problems reinstalling the whole game yesterday.
Reinstall
Patch to 2552
INI.exe
Directory server update
OP+4.0
Mission d/l
"Installer" d/l
... all works well.

I still stuck on the Re-Install step. Can't see my ship, can't see the enemy ships. Video Card is fine cuz SWG works. I even set the color quality at 16 bit.

I had the same thing happen because Norton started up when I was gaming. I got wire frames first then nothing. I had to manually delete all op files and do a freash reinstall, to get it to work right again.
I don't know if this is any help ( sorry :)) But at least you know you are not the only one,and it has happened before.

I just figured it out. God, this game is old :O
We need to update the following thread:
http://www.dynaverse.net/forum/index.php/topic,163349163.0.html
to take care of this exception scenario. If you cannot see your models, as shown in the screen shot above, then change the wireframe settings in sfc.ini to "1".
[3D]
wireframe=0
becomes
[3D]
wireframe=1
Et volia, the ISC have arrived:
