What are the other three for though?
I assume 1 is for winning, but #2 and #3?

You only get medals against human oppoents. #1 is for doing internal damage (although the script seems to be very generous here sometimes). #2 is for forcing your opponent to disengage. #3 id for destroying your opponent, and #4 is for capturing your opponent.

The client code only accepts one type of medal to be awarded at a time, it would appear. In a mission, if you get medal three or four, 99.9% of the time this means you would be elligible for medal one as well (unless your opponent simply self destructs or lower his shields with no marines). But since only one medal can be awarded at a time, I opted to award the higher medal. To get medal one, you basically have to lose the PvP match but still do damage to your opponent.

I mean I can appreciate you wanting to put a medal in there for the Gorn
but really, I was going to try for the complete collection.
