After 5 yrs. have become used to having the crew voices and the taunts, I like fooling around with those from time to time. Its all part of the fun of playing this game.
After a 50 some odd min. PvP with Duck (which he killed me in...LOL) I haven't had the sounds since...Yeah I know, your going to say he blew those away too..(very funny)
I have the music and weapon sounds.....but none of the others.
I already checked and they are set to Max, I even tried Med.
I checked the sounds folder and even replaced it with a back-up one I have still no crew sounds.
Short of re-installing.....anyone know whats going on here, anyone else had this problem or knows why this happens ?
If I do have to re-insall it I'd like to avoid this from happening again...
BTW/ I even scanned everything for virus's and spyware and did a Defrag...all clean !
Any Help Would Be Appreciated......TY

I hate when that happens...
First thing to check, look in sfc.ini in the main program directory using a text editor. It is a text file.
Look for "voice = ?", where ? is a number (probably 0 if you are hearing no voices). To get maximum crew feedback, set voice = 3.
If that was the issue, make sure that sfc.ini is write protected and make a back-up of the file somewhere safe. It's just a little file, but it impacts some very important stuff.

Checked file....Voices = 3 That's correct.. :'(
Thanks Falcon, I did forget to check that though.

After a Re-Install, all fixed ;D Just wish I knew why it happened in the first place, oh well.

Only 3 things could have happened:
- bad SFC.ini settings
- bad registry settings for OP
- bad SFCSounds.zip and/or SFCMusic.zip files
