Title: Is it possible?
Post by: Mr.Bad151 on August 04, 2005, 10:30:25 pm
To get a "alliance" channel for the server?  coilition can have one too.. but none for the kitties!  I can't use teamspeak and having to send /tells to 2/3 of your team kinda sucks...

I think i remember a dyna or two in the past having a /join alliance, /join coalition chat channel on the dyna, though i havent seen that system implemented for a while.

Heh i know the feeling,  it can be extreemly frustrating using the /tell system to people, it can be difficult at times to get a response from annyone.

This was RDSL and two of the races were renamed Alliance and Coalition. However, if you are an mIRC guru you could set up your own channels and call them whatever you want. Whether or not it would be then possible to access these channels without modifying the client code, I do not know though.

I would think that all you need is channels with pormissions set for certain races to join. Doesn't seem like it would be a client side issue at all.
