Better Poll than Dizzy's

"Burn the land, boil the sea, you can't take the sky from me. There's no place that I'd rather be, since I found serenity".
You bet I'm gonna see it. This show, much more then Enterprise, really needed kept on the air.

Is molesting small furry animals a tactic or a bug? ;D
-
I voted for C, but I don't think it was a fair question. Your question seems to imply some failing on my part. In actuallity I think the human women want me, they are just afraid of my size.

I'd consider it a bug, Scippy seems to believe it's a valid tactic (and I wonder how many Gornn will support him)
though..
-
I voted C, but I reserve the right to shave them first.

I'm counting on Kroma. Give me a few hours to get some tequila into Agave and I think he'll agree with me to.
<waits for angry hisses of denial.......>

Well that's just weird that this posted 2x, of course with the powers that be denying me
my constitutional right to delete my own topics
-actually I'll go on about that.
Are the admins this power hungry?
Is there any reason we're not allowed to delete our own topics on this board?
really it's about the only one I participate on that doesn't allow it- does it screw the system up or something?
Very odd
And maybe just a little suspicious...
(and of course I'm only joking... being Canadian I don;t think I have any constitutional rights..)
From the other copy.... I deleted the other poll for you.
You should be able to delete your own posts, just not topics or polls. I'm not sure why this is the permissions policy. Post a topic asking why in the Dynaverse.net Resources, Website Feedback & Feature Requests. (http://www.dynaverse.net/forum/index.php/board,3227.0.html) forum, and based on the discussion there I can make any adjustments necessary.

Honestly Hexx, as to option 3, isn't the OT forums a more appropriate place for your personnel ads? And for the record, I wouldn't molest you with S'Cipio's cloacae.

...you can't take the sky from me...
I love that bit...
I enjoyed the TV show thoroughly, but voted no to the poll as I swore I would never go to a public movie theater again, I concluded it is all about hiding in the dark and eating junk food where no one can see you... I was thoroughly grossed out last time I went to a movie theater, that was about seven years ago. I will not brush shoulders with the rabble in the movie theaters ever again, I'm not interested in listening to other people eat.
When the DVD comes out, I will definitely check it out. Looking forward to it.

And just for the record, I assumed all the Gorn,Hydrans & Fed pilots would go for option C so
I'm not actually surprised at the turnout..
Although I will be severely dissapointed in anyone who doesn't go and see it..
And no t00l, you can't shave them, the poll explicity states they have to be furry
Otherwise the Klinks would all take that option as well..
-
Hell yeah!! Firefly is awesome.

Bingo, I will get the DVD.
Can't stand mass movie theaters... There used to be a small one I would see stuff at in The People's Republic of Chapel Hill (NC) that only sat about 20 people per showing.
But they never had the really good stuff and haven't found one around here yet...
-
Actually generally I hit them in the early afternoon if the multiplex is open.
Monday afternoon/Tuesdays are usually pretty good, there's like 6-7 people tops in the whole theatre.
Course it doesn't work as well if you have a real job..

What is Serenity? Sounds like a Fed Starbase name.
-
No Fed starbases are named things like Monkey 1 ... at least thats what the Universal Translator spat out
-
What is Serenity? Sounds like a Fed Starbase name.
.. Assuming this is a valid question..
Serenity is the Film "sequel" to a short lived show called Firefly done by Joss Whedon (the Buffy Guy)
It was cancelled after @ 11(ish) episodes by Fox in one of the odder cancellations recently. They essentially
gave it a bad timeslot, advertised it as done "by the Buffy guy" and aired the episodes out of order which completely screwed
up the storyline.
Fox finally let Whedon get the series set up on DVD (I'm not actually sure if Fox even retained any rights to it) where sales went through the roof
Universal agreed to do a big screen feature of it to help wrap up some of the loose ends in the story. There is actually rumours/talk that they've optioned the rights
for sequels, but I (unfortunately) doubt they'll happen.
Essentially it's a story of a space ship & crew, the stories are (imho) Far superior to any Star Trek season- and that was in it's first year.
It is actually a story where the crew does have problems and there is some conflict amongts the crew.
-And real conflict and storylines- Not something stupid like Voyageur's or DS9's alleged " conflicts between crew members"
I honestly can't say enough about hte show- I'm one who paid no attention to it when it aired and only picked up the DVD set- and it's
probably my favourite Sci Fi series ever - I'n a way I'm actually kinda happy it got cancelled- the first season seemed to hit a stride of
acting/ storytelling and continuity that arguably Star Trek never reached, and certainly not in it's first seasons.

Heh...here..all this time..I thought they were named KA-BOOM! ;)
-
thx Hexx, I had never heard of this show myself, but then again perhaps it never played up in my parts of the woods.
-
http://www.spacecast.com/Serenity.html
Has some links to vids that kinda explain it.
if you like (and I'd assume you do) Sci Fi shows and aren't
one of those (very strange) people who insist that Star Trek Series whatever
is the pinacle of Sci Fi and can never be beaten check it out-
It's a great show.

bump

bump
why??? ::)
-
bump
why??? ::)
Because everyone has to go see the movie..
-
bump
why??? ::)
I want to see if 70.4% will vote to be interactive with little furry animals.
-
Never heard of it.
:(
-
Never heard of Serenity or Firefly? That's a shame. I think it was on for one or two seasons on Fox. Sort of the Old West in space. Think of the captain as Han Solo without the smarminess. It's was a good character-based show with some nice science fiction settings. It is currently airing on the Sci-Fi Channel at 7 pm Eastern/ 4pm Pacific on Fridays.
-
More like Han Solo only without a brain. :P
-
Are you saying Mal is stupid? Them's fighting words!!!
-
Never heard of it.
:(
Yeah, well ,you play EVE..
not really expecting alot... :P
Anyways- I can not recommend this series enough to anyone who
watches general Sci Fi- The only people I know who have watched it and not liked it
are both set in their ways, one completely believes that anything bearing the name
Star trek is inherently better than any other TV show ever made, and yes, the other believes
the original Star Wars trilogy (well the first two technically) to be the epitome of storytelling .
It does have the humour of the Buffy series though- so if you saw a few and decided you
hated the humor you might not like it.
-
Are you saying Mal is stupid? Them's fighting words!!!
Han would had Chewbaca, Mal just has that hooker.
On seconed thought . . .
-
Question: WTF is with all the swearing in Chinese?
-
Gets past the censors ?
I think Firefly rocks, and I'd like to see more of Saffron in it :)
-
Was she that red-head?
