I believe they used to offer CDs/DVDs of their updates. How can I get my hands on a current one?

question:
What version of WinXP do you have? (there are 2 versions(1st generation(2nd gen w/ SP2)).
1st gen was when it first came out.
2nd gen w/ SP2 already included w/ the OS.

1st gen

PM me your snail mail address and I will send you a SP2 cd. (if I can find it) :)
Please bear in mind that there are still d/l after that.

Here's a guide for creating a Windows XP install CD with Service Pack 2 (this process is known as slipstreaming) http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.cfm?articleID=1626
You will need to own a regular (1st gen) Windows XP (for legal reasons).

Thanks for the item...I'll read through it all, but the biggest problem I think I might already have is that he doesn't have Nero or anything like that which they suggest. I think he believes Nero is only used by Piracy and stuff, so he's been against me picking it up in the past.
Perhaps his wife will have something on her machine (she's into Video editing and transferance onto DVD so perhaps she'll have something that will be able to be useable to replace the Nero tools suggested in the article thus far).
Thanks for the link.

Well that is a ligitamte concern as far as NERO, But IT's also for me anyways an Indespencible tool. Even Huge HD's (mine's 160 gig) get full pretty fast, And using a DVD burner like NERO makes life alot easier.
Besides, Tell him that all of us here, would Probably Jump your Butt if you started Piracy. And Besides, #2, If one where to do that, That's what Daemon tools is for. Another good tool made so you wouldn't scratch up your disk, but Turned into a Piracy vehicle as apposed to It's legitimate application usage.
