Congrats Lyrkiller.

I have also found a more stable job situation recently.   Aftering surviving on temp job assignments and other projects for 2 full years, as of Sept. 1 I was once again employed on a full-time basis.     WHEWWWWW!!   :o    It's been long trip!!

So, I'll still be trying to fly a good bit, especially since our Gorn pilot core has gotten smaller (if that's possible) since several members of the GDA has moved on to other things.   But, I won't be doing the nutter times for awhile since I want to keep the job I have now got.   (  ;D makes sense, eh!)

I'm not trying to steal your thunder Lyr.  Just letting you know there are others in our community who have been dealing with all the unemployment crap.

Take care, and good luck with the new job.

Agave, I do agree that there are alot of unemployed players, and I was not alone by a long shot. It will feel so good to get a paycheck again. ;D

the only reason I ever even got really involved with SFB was during September and October of many years past when I was off work due to a back injury.  A friend of mine sent me SFB, to keep me busy, and it did.  I received many many hours of training by TSC-Warbird and TSC-Trekkytonk(past away) and TSC-Ravek(also passed away) during that time.  If it were not for the time off work, I would have never met those guys (who were off work) and that could have lead to me giving up on this game.

So more power to you  guys who found work, and also found this game.  Unfortunately for this game, to work does cut time into this game, but to not work sucks one hell of a lot more.

As a single parent(at the time) and having no higher end education I can understand the frustration of trying to find a job that paid enough to exist.Congrats !!! This may sound like a speech from a parent but what the hell.Go to a tech school and get a trade.I did ,took up welding went into school from a $10/hr supervisor(up here thats only $3 over min wage). Now ,doubled and change over the old wage.I know that up here companies are screaming cuz there is a tradesman shortage.A friend of mine is a math whiz he went into welding engineers course to be a weld inspector. He went fron 35K a yr and now makes 80K.Just to rub it in he only works 6hr/day on average,of course the trade off for him is that he pays $5 for a litre of milk and -30 deg C is a balmy day in winter.Just some thoughts . Again Congrats to you Lyr I hope you enjoy your new job.
