Title: Time for a new car!
Post by: Jack Morris on January 14, 2006, 06:13:21 pm
Vicky went ahead without my input and fixed the civic, but I just got my e-mail from Toyota!

Say hello to the future of the best selling sedan in the WORLD for well over a decade now!

http://www.toyota.com/vehicles/future/index.html?s_van=http://www.toyota.com/newcamry&ref=

click on learn more, 43/37 mpg, and a 440 watt stereo! Cellphone drivers, blow me! I'll crank up the crew so loud you will not be able to talk and drive! Which since 94 has caused more accidents and fatalities than drunk driving.

Bad news? Can't take delivery until Jan 2 07 because of Bush's messing with hybrid tax laws. He wants us to drive gas hogs!

Bah!
Wait for the 2009 Camero!
Dammit, don't have a link on hand, rear end looks like the current mustang fastback, front end is.... definitely unique!
6 liter powerplant (what is that... 383 cubic inches?)
No doubt it will be like the last generation... out of my price range!

Oh well, can rice up my kia with spinners and coffee can exaust... maybe a big m-fing wing on the back... because you want downforce on your rear end at high speed in a front wheel drive!  ::)

I saw one of those that had ran a redlight and was T-boned by a '65 Fury. The engine was on one side and the front half was about 30 feet away. The guys left arm was still stuck in the Fury's grill.

I aint getting a new car until Oldsmobile reopens... (turns to car) Ya hear that baby? You gotta last til Hell freezes over...

Lessee I got this car in 98...had one problem with it...something in the steering wheel coulda killed me...can't remember what it was.  The only problem I have with it now isn't really an issue until Winter is over...something shorted out in my console, my power windows have been disabled...darn hit and runners, I gotta get better marines  >:(

You need shields; check the thread about electric field shields for tanks somewhere in the OT threads!

Ever since I sold my charger (because the bastard kept chuggin gas on a pace that I couldnt keep up with), I've been looking for a new car. Found one.
The following picture is pretty much identical :}

Me, I've got a brand spanking new 2006 Honda Odyssey!!  :woot:

Look at me, I'm a friggin mini-van dad. ;D

V-6 24 valve SOHC VTEC putting out 244 horsies.... Windstars just can't beat me off the line.

The "magic" third row 60/40 stowaway seat.... I swear I could hide Hoffa's body in that stowaway well.

15!, COUNT THEM!!, FIFTEEEEEEN cup holders!!! Yea boy, we be cruisin with them bad boys all deployed at once and it doesn't upset the handling one bit.

Already started pimping it with a Kawasaki dual deck DVD player out to two strap-on headrest monitors. Scooby Doo never looked so good!  :o

thnx. apparently it needs a bit more work that I thought, all shocks except for the front left are shot and theres something seriously wrong with the steering (feels like youre grabbing onto a wood chipper in the lack of a better description), havent looked into what it is yet but it certainly looks nice outwards (the car, generally) :}
I can only hope there isnt anything else seriously wrong with it / Can only hope im not buying a polished turd.

Sounds as if the belt in one of the front tires is broken.

Ask and ye shall receive, the Volkswagen Jetta TDI (Turbo diesel)

35/42 mpg, but diesel costs less than gasoline.

http://www.vw.com/jetta/features_perf.html

That's just an example of one make and model my friend, but the Jetta is a mighty fine car and has won numerous awards lately. I'm still a Toyota man though, Honda being my second choice.  ;)

Yup, that was a cool car IMO, know why? They had many car kits that you could buy and install to make it look like an Italian sports car.  :)
