Title: Making break model with Milkshape 3D?
Post by: yochenhsieh on January 23, 2006, 09:31:23 pm
Hello,
Is it possible to make break models with Milkshape 3D?
If yes, is there any tutorials or guides out there?

Thanks.

no its not possible to make break models with Milkshape, because the Milkshape exporter don't support the break model settings for the parts contained in a break model

When I make my SFC Models in Milkshape, I use what I call "Pseudo Break Models" to give the effect of a destroyed ship.  Basically, I break up a Mesh into several parts, add damage textures to them, then export the model from MS, then rename it "MyModel_brk.mod" and it will appear when your custom model is destroyed in SFC.  It doesn't have the cool, neat Plasma effects or the speration of parts in different directions, but it does help give the "feel" of a ship being blown up.

what are standard klingon clothes for you, these are TMP Standard and why a 4 nacelled one, this is 4 nacelled.
those 4 nacelles are 2 in one housing for each side

I do the same; it works great in SFC, SFCII and SFCOP, but not so great in SFCIII. I really do wish SFCIII had the same explosion effects as its predecessors; you should get some reward for your hard work after pecking your opponent to death for several minutes.

I agree aswell, I liked the older Break model effects more then I do with with SFC3.   ::)  A lot of things I scratch my head on a lot of things SFC3 did differently then the older versions.
