Title says it all, me and Frey were getting pissed off so he recommended i turn ALL start up programs for a diagnostic run, it worked
Afterward i turned some back on, DTools and xfire being both of em, after trying to get back on, low and behold it didnt work :O
killed both Dtools and xfire, ran again, disabled Dtools protection emulation, didnt help, closed dtools, bamg, it worked, so to ANYONE who plays on the dynaverse, close Dtools before playing :P solved my problem... if only i had known it were so easy

:woot: Good job guys! Frey is the man!
What the heck is Dtools anyway?
edit: Oh I see, its an ISO mounter... silly name for it, one would think it was a server manager of some kind. Seeing as it emulates copy protections I would not trust it at all...
Try this instead: Virtual CD-ROM Control Panel <--- does not seem to officially exist on Microsoft.com, yet it its theirs:

Try uninstalling that nasty peice of work. If you have a lot of other stuff like that installed on your machine I'd reccomend a clean windows install.
-
why would i uninstall it? it works perfect and i never had trouble before :S and the beta server still worked even with it running :S
-
i've never had issues with it, but then Demons gotta watch out for one another :)

Oh I had assumed we had pinned it down to a client side issue, but since you were fine on the beta server that points to a serverside issue. I have a theory about some software recently installed on the directory server that may be interfereing with connections in some cases, and outlined my concerns to Frey, but he seems quite sure it is not a problem. Not much I can say until it is eliminated as a possibility for this issue. :(
