Has anyone tried this web-based game? I saw it linked in a Google ad here (as the tech admin I'm not allowed to click the ads).

I've heard of it, but I've never played it before.  I try to stay away from MMOGs because I'm afraid of getting sucked into them.  I have a friend that's failing his classes and just lost his Army ROTC scholarship because he devotes every minute he can to WoW.  Besides, it's bad enough I'm already addicted to Civ IV (and Civ II before that).
