Yeah, right.
Only because of that last yellow. :P
-
At least it's back...just waiting for the Coca Cola 600 in May! ;D
-
Any Jimmy Johnson fans in the house?
The Darn bowties won! lol
-
Finally, some real competition instead of that crap they're calling "Olympic events" these days. Anyone hear Dale Jr.'s remarks about his motor acting like an old man?
-
Johnson's team got a four race suspension for cheating. Seems his crew chief was tampering with the rear window to reduce drag........
Go Charger!! ;D

In this day and age with NASCAR officals crawling all over the place, what the hell was they thinking?? lol
-
The moment they found the violation they should have been disqualified from the race. This suspension is a joke. If a team is caught and penalized immediately, that will be the end of cheating.

yeah 4 races is kinda small. how about half the season, and a million buck fine?
-
If a team is immediately disqualified from a race there wouldn't be a need for any further fines. As it is Johnson's winnings from the race was $1,505,120.00. Yet they were fined fifty thousand? Heh, that's pocket change.
You cheat and are caught, you're gone, simple. They also need a three strike rule. After the third time you can kiss the season goodbye.

You know, I think there should be more accidents in NASCAR. Otherwise, it's just a buncha cars goin round and round and round.
I think they should put mines on the track at random locations.
Ratings for NASCAR would tripple overnight.

Note to self: Do NOT play golf with Mentat Jon..... :o
Ready to see the rest of the season get underway now...just wonder if that "Car of Tomorrow" will slow things down any at the restrictor plate tracks?

For a time I was a big NASCAR fan. I am losing interest in it because NASCAR is not consistent with handing out penalties. For the exact same offense there are different penalties for different teams/drivers which make it all look political. Also the whole thing is like a soap opera every week, with driver feuds. Its just the same from week to week. When Matt Kenseth won the championship everyone ranted that he only won 1 race. The year before he won 6 or 7 and more than that years champion and no one says anything. What NASCAR wants is to have a champion with a Bad Boy image ala Tony Stewart. Its good for their ratings. LIke when Jeff Gordon missed the chase last year some said that thier needs to be a rule change so he could get in. I gusee to hell on basing it on merit.
Nascar need to establish universal penalties and not base them on who they want to see in the chase. One team violates policy and gets fines, another team violates policy and loses 25 championship points. Its a bloody crock of BS.

Dale needs to race the truck.
-
There's some poetic justice yesterday in Kenseth winning and Tony Stewart DNFing after what happened at Daytona.
