Stargate X309 Orion class frigate
Here is my story :P  O'Neil wanted a smaller ship than the 303 class that could carry at least 1 fighter or shuttle and could use exesting hyperspace tech . The idea was to have a small fleet of these ships to help in rescue operations of off world personell in the event the stargate network was down. Or in the event of war it could be a refueling station for fighters with its thru deck capability. But due to typical Congressional bickering funding was dropped only 2 of these ships were completed and put in active service 1 { The Orion}  was sent to the Pegasus galaxy and was destroyed just exiting hyperspace the ship slammed in to an asteroid according to sensors from Atlantis and the other {LiL Jack}  is in the Mars colony Smithsonian museum.

You do realise the two wings witherside of the ship are fighter bays right? u kno this part, most ppl mistake them for the engines or hyperspace engines

the fighter bays have been retro fitted to hold cargo and stuff like that

Ah, very similar to BSG I suppose.
