Title: Quick Q: Why not disruptors as pulse phasers?

Hey all, i just got back into SFCOP, so I'm probably not up on a lot of the stuff and reasons behind different game decisions, but I'd like to ask this question:  If the total conversion Mod, how come Disruptors or some sort of made-up disruptor variant weren't used to mimic pulse phasers?

I'm sure there's a good reason, but I'm curious.  Was it the fact that the game wouldn't allow disruptors on fed ships?  You can't duplicate weaons?  Something else I can't think of?

If you are talking of SFCOP - It's because the damage caused by disuptors was not where we'd like  - the Gs and G2s seemed more appropriate.

Ahh... finally someone gets back to me :)  Okay, now I know so thank you very much.  Just a shame you can't edit weapon damage numbers :(
