Title: Your assistance please

I have had SFC2 for a couple of years now and I simply cannot play the disk! Loading is alright but when the screen comes up for the access code, the screen freezes and does not allow for any typing whatsoever. HELP! :huh:

Find starfleet2.exe in the installation folder, copy and paste it as a shortcut on the desktop. Use this shortcut to launch the game. THis should fix your issue.

 hit you windows ket and minimize the game then open it up again and you should  be able to type it in. You Also want to do what Bonk said because it avoids a bunch of issues in  game.
