Four week server
week 1 Kzin vs Lyran
week 2 add Hydrans and Klingons
week 3 add Feds
week 4 add Andros
Server would start with all Western Empire races shown on map- only parts of map that can be used are those powers currently fighting
Would run from @ 2268- 90(??)
Each race would (as always with Hexx brand server's) have their own racial VP's.
Could (hopefully) use Bonk's player transfer system so players switching races wouldn't have to start new accounts.
(Or could just adjust the amount of PP new accounts start with week by week, either way)

A bit of both....
Currently the transfers page is only on the SQL webmap, so would require an SQL server. Though Herr Burt's editor may have this capability soon to edit a characters race on a non-live flatfile.
In either case, flatfile or SQL, adding races after the server start would require db edits to the racelist. (unless you intend to start the server with all six races in place and just ask people only to login on the designated races for each week)
Or, as you imply you could run 4 separate servers incrementing the starting PP for each weekly start and edit the map to match where last week left off...
Perhaps more masochism than genius or insanity... ;)

Hexx you could limit it to 5 Lyrans only, in order to make it a fair contest :P.
