OUTALANCE SHIPYARDS
C-9A Kahless tIq vo'(Heart of Kahless) class battleship
(http://www.battleclinic.com/docks/files/images/6b6c5ea59eacc2632ee4d4499ebfd2c2.jpg)
Owner : Klingon Defense Force
Class : Battleship (Capital ship)
Availability : Unique deployment
In Service : 2376
Out of Service : n/a
----------------------
In 2360 a new battleship was commissioned to replace the aging C-7 and heavy Vorcha mainframes.
A testbed was designed, the C-10, to space test the new components for what would be commissioned as the Negh'var class battleship.
Once the testing was complete, the frame was placed in mothballs and the Negh'var began production on a large scale.
The return of the Emporer, his reintegration with his soul and the need for a ship that could transport him safely to and from the fleet's flagship brought the stored vessel back to life.
After extensive modifications and upgrades, the C-9 Kahless tIq vo', or Heart of Kahless was put into service.
It was designed specifically to attach to the C-20A Dreadnought, otherwise known as Qo'nos 1, the flagship of the Klingon Defense Force.
This vessel is the second most advanced ship ever fielded by the Klingon Empire. It boasts a dynamic shielding system, adaptive cloak, advanced reactive armor plating, and organic power and information transfer systems.
Although it is not as heavilly shielded as the C-10, it is faster, more menuverable, and far superior in weaponry.
For vessel area defense, the ship carries 2 heavy fighters in the rear dorsal bay, plus 4 light fighters in the aft ventral bay.
6 small shuttles are contained in the ventral forward bay.
Finally, this ship, like the Blade of Kahless, has the ability to dampen it's sensor signature while fully operational.
Though not a full "fire while cloaked" system, it is very effected at medium to long range.

Great to see this released but the bridge section was moved off-center in the conversion. I look forward to the corrected version.

Actually, there is a problem with the model, and it is my fault....so go ahead and start throwing bricks....
The engines were not mirrored properly, and the textures on the port wing were wrong. I corrected the original mesh and uploaded it to SFU. I am sending the link to Modelsplease and Starforce. Sorry guys.

Ok, your going to kill me, but it appears a few problems remain. Maybe it happens in the conversion process?
There are parts on the model that are messed up...namely the rear distruptor control modules and the warp engines. I'll post pics to show you what I mean. I pulled up the new 3ds file, perhaps you grabbed it before I could replace it with the new one.
The rear modules on the back of the wing look like thier center was off when you connected them to the model. As to the warp engines, maybe the symmetry was off somehow. One engine is too low, the other too high.
Also the textures on the wingtops are switched....port should be starboard and starboard should be port, so they are reversed.
The problem could also exist in my conversion from Max 5 to 3ds. Perhaps someone here could volunteer to do the conversion for you on a regular basis?
The next model I make I will connect all the parts together before I send it to you. That might help.

Okie...one more time lol..............

I'll just grab yours. Raven, in his moment of true genius, sent me the link to download a file with the same name, so when Is aved it to my "raven's ships" folder it overwrote the old one except it only had the model this time so I lost all the textures.
I think, for the mental health of us all, people should start modeling BC2 designs so raven doesn't need to ;D lol.

Asking for the corrections caused by my mistakes...irritating
Waiting for Raven to get off his butt and write up the specs for a model...intolerable
Having a flawless conversion that demonstrates the skills of both modelsplease and starforce....priceless
Thanks for your patience guys. I know I can be irritating...I hope it is worth it for both of you.
And yes, I will try to endevor to make the process easier for both of you. Thanks again. Wonderful work.
