Title: Shaky-cam footage of Star Trek: Legacy
Post by: Rat Boy on May 11, 2006, 11:12:22 am
From the E3 Insider (http://www.e3insider.com/video/?type=fancam&articleID=5J4F9I9PGG)

If you can make it through the interview, you'll catch the occasional glimpse of the game in action, complete with the tactical overlay and how the ships perform in game.  It definitely looks more like BC than SFC.  If you're a fan of the former, that's good news, but if you're like most of us here and prefer the latter, then that's not exactly as good as one would have thought.

New footage from Game Play Monthly (http://www.gameplaymonthly.com/e3/e3-d1.php)

It's just Bridge Commander, only without the bridge.

Sorry for the three posts in a row, but if you look closely at the footage in the second video, it almost looks as if the ships don't really move in a 3D plane but only appear to do so like SFC does.  The depth of gameplay strategy looks to be a step down from what little we had in Bridge Commander, but we're now also only confined to two dimensions?  I'm getting worried.

nah, it looks like it uses a 3 dimensial plane, there was a definate vertical pitch on the ship not a "rise" like sfc.  it also appeared that he was fighting in a 3d plane
