Fate is such a cruel prankster. No sooner had I typed that, then my ISP went down. I couldn't even post here to tell you what was going on or that the server hadn't crashed this time!
<grumble>
I have no idea if yesterday's problems were partially due to an unstable ISP. I tend to be more suspicious of the other things I fixed, but I'm sure a weak connection wouldn't have helped anything.
Anyway, the new shiplist patch is here: ftp://www.fourpower.com/pub/Phase2.zip
Unzip this folder into your main SFC folder, then double click the bat file. (Bonk, if you want to do another NSIS installer, that would be great!)
So (dare I say it again?) Let's see what happens. Log on and kill something!

Well, that works too. ;)
Be sure you also put it into the MetaAssets folder as well.
For those having trouble or who just want to do a manual install, the new shiplist is here:

Put it into you Assets/Spec folder and into your MetaAssets folder.

ok i have followed the instructions,and it says i have bad files shrugs?? suggestions? do i delete the original list?

If you used the NSIS installer for phase one, just install this over it. (it will not install without the phase one NSIS installation (http://www.dynaverse.net/downloads/sfc2_op/Mods/EconomicWar.exe) present)
If you uninstall Economic War to use other mods, then you will need to run both the original and this update to login again.
If the shiplist is updated to address various issues I'll simply replace this phase two update with a new one.

Try using Bonk's installer if you are having trouble with mine.
(Also note, as I should have stated, that Econ War must *already* be installed on your system before you can use my patch. Do not uninstall before patching.)

The first part is easier than you think. Using my batch files, to play on any other server, just run the uninstaller from your original EW download. it will uninstall EW and it's patch all at the same time. (The uninstaller looks for a file called "shiplist.txt" on a system that has EW installed, and it doesn't care which "shiplist.txt" that is.)
The second part is as you suspect: To get back on, re-install EW and then re-install the patch. Don't worry about getting the order wrong, because the patch won't work on any system that doesn't already have EW installed.

No, not correct.
This one is just an update to the first NSIS installer, it simply updates the shiplist. To play on another server, just uninstall Economic War using the shortcut on your start menu and the files you had in place when you installed Economic War in the first place will be restored.
Ths does not apply if you used Herr Burt's batch installer for the first round. This update will not install unless the First round Economic War NSIS installer is already installed.
I must emphasise that the first round installer will back up whatever files were in place at the time you first installed it for restoration on uninstall. So keep that in mind when you uninstall it. (should you not remember what files you had in place when you installed or installed it on top of another mod that you cannot recall, then after uninstalling you can run the stock files installer here: http://www.dynaverse.net/downloads/sfc2_op/backup_files/StockOP.exe)
If you are using the NISIS installers, and uninstalled then you will need to install the round one installer, then the phase 2 update to return to the economic war server. The update has no uninstaller, it simply updates an existing NSIS Economic War install leaving the original uninstaller in place.
I'm regretting not including an internal updater as I had for the Gas Free Zone server... its a real pain to set up, but probably less of a pain than these complicated explanations... lol.

You should be getting them now, but they are hit and miss. Roughly half of your ships should now be Korgath, and then a portion of these will be Klingon. There were three Klink ships in the shipyard when I logged on this morning, and overall it seemed to have a good distribution of Camboro and Korgath ships.
But the mix will vary with time based upon the vagaries of the ship generation system.

we haven't seen one since about 4 when we logged on..
all are camboro, none korgath, especially the klingon hulls since they'd be the easiest to see in the list

If anyone can find a solution good luck.
As for now I will be playing Star Wars EaW until then.;D

Once the file downloads click open and it should launch winzip. From there, click extract and then click these folders in the window that pops up:
C drive
program files
taldren software inc
starfleet command orion pirates
assests
specs
then click the extract button on the right of the box.
You should be all set. ;)

That's because Herr Burt updated the shiplist last night to fix PF donation. I knew it was coming. I checked at 10PM AST and again at 12 AM AST. This morning I see it was updated at 3:41AM AST. (Herr Burt must be on the west coast)
The phase 2 NSIS update is now replaced with the current shiplist. I just logged in on it.
So from a clean OP install:
1) http://www.dynaverse.net/downloads/sfc2_op/Mods/EconomicWar.exe
2) http://www.dynaverse.net/downloads/sfc2_op/Mods/EconomicWar_Phase2.exe
and you're good to go.
If you already have the phase one NSIS install in place just run:
http://www.dynaverse.net/downloads/sfc2_op/Mods/EconomicWar_Phase2.exe
and you're good to go.
If you have the old phase 2 NSIS update in place just run the new:
http://www.dynaverse.net/downloads/sfc2_op/Mods/EconomicWar_Phase2.exe
and you're good to go.
These installers do not apply to Herr Burt's batch installers, they are a separate path altogether.
Next time I do this, there will definitely be an internal updater using the NSISdl and vpatch plugins so that this confusion does not result. It will still depend on when the server admin posts the current shiplist of course so I can create the binary diff patch file to post for the internal updater to download.

I don't know why I ever let Herr Burt take charge of thisss project. I ssshould have done it all myssself.

Ok I had some of the old version some of the new version -- so i figured out a quick way to get things running smoothly -
I simply ran the FromEW icon provided on the original installer to return me back to a basic op 4.0+ game
Then I downloaded both of Bonks installers listed above and ran them in suquential order
Logged on and it was up and running smoothly
Total time for operation less then five min..

Given the title, this is one of the threads I should have updated last night. I should make fewer threads! ;D
If you are ever confused, always check out the EW Info thread, stickied at the top of the page. The latest patch will always be there. (And since I keep the thread locked, the patch should be easy to find near the bottom.)
I actually recommend that you use Bonk's installer, to make things easiest for you. But for those who want it, the lastest shiplist (as of Thursday, May 18) is here:

No worries, I know where to look. We never really coordinated on this from the start, and you never asked me to poke my nose in on things anyway. As long as the updates are posted during reasonable hours I'll be able to keep the NSIS installers up to date within a few hours delay at most.
