I like this (Oklahoma) company's ideas so much I even bought a little of their stock. They're either going to be a big flop, or the next Microsoft.
Portable 3-D, 360 degree full color holograms.. pretty interesting stuff ... imagine a jewler being able to display goods while they are looked up.. or sending King Tut's treasures on display in 30 cities, at once.. while the real items are in a safe..
Think of the blueprint models for architects, or buildings.. you can visually see flaws in the blueprints if areas don't line up..
and the gaming applications! They are supposed to start selling their stuff this summer. And Oklahoma State University is working a lot of patents with them.

I don't know if it will take off. They've had 3d technology that is able to do that since the early and mid 90s, and have had it portable enough for the past five years (well able to be around a fishtank size item...).
