I installed a fresh cd version of OP.

I installed the 2552 patch.

I installed the directory server fix.

I installed OP + 4.

I then log in and go to multiplayer. In the dynaverse II section, after typing in the email, password, and name, there is no button to click at the bottom, only a black space :/ any help would be appreciated.

Give it at least two minutes for the login button to light up. But before you even start up OP you'll need to create a gamespy arcade account.

The Dynaverse requires a gamespy arcade account. (free - though they'll try to lure you into paying - read their registration pages carefully) Go to gamespy.com and download the arcade client and create a free account.

Create a Gamespy arcade account and then use it to login on the Dynaverse.
