Title: Aaaarrrrr!!!! Server refuses to answer hails, Captain!

I took the server down for nightly editing, and now it can't reconnect to the directory servers.  I read that they were down earlier today.    Are they down again by any chance?

I just tried twice and cant get to them, says a firewall etc.  I have been having trouble on and off logging on here to through the day. It's not you.

Directory of servers just went back up.

Server is back up!  She's making sail and answer the helm quite well.

See it on the list but looks like you got it in admin test mode.  Cant log on due to missing the server testing file.  You still testing it?

Arrrr!!!   Ye didn't expect to be let in without a key, did ye?

Would that be the Directory server or the Economic War server?

I may have a chance to fix this in about 10 to 15 minutes.   If she can't restart it with a simple double-click of the application (which you can 98% of the time) then it will have to wait about 2.5 hours for me to get home and investigate.

Cool, I'm having a hard time seeing what's going on today as my ISP seems to be on the fritz about 50% of the time.  :(

Fortunatley I had some family  running by home at 3PM.  I called home, and talked them through a reboot.

The machine had rebooted and was sitting at the login screen.   I do not know if this was a spontaneous sytem reboot of the server machine, or if we had a power failure that reset everything.   (I didn't think to ask if the microwave clock had reset to noon.....)

Hopefully it was nothing serious, and the server will stay up until I get home.

Ah, no such luck - it's down again.  Np though, I'll just go craft evil things to do to admins  ;)
