Title: AFK for awhile!

Wow!  Glad EW ended when it did!

What started as a routine checkup this morning turned into a very exciting day ... The Mrs is getting a good night's sleep (or as good as she can get) at the hospital -- they kicked me out about an hour ago.  Pending the results of some tests we'll either be inducing or going for a C-section tomorrow, so the next time I post I should be a dad!  :o   ;D  :o  :D !!!

They told me to go home and get some sleep, but that doesn't seem to be coming very easily tonight  ;)

More when I know it!

Relax, these people know exactly what they're doing, I was in this same boat right around this time last year... (Actually, it was on the 28th I had to help make that decision...)

Hence the reason for my semi-retirement, teething girls are real fun to play around... :D

Congrats...as a father of 4 (my youngest just turned 16) I can tell you're in for a long and, hopefully, happy times of child rearing...

Thanks all!  Lol @Chuut  ;D

We got put on hold for 36 hours because the nursery was full (it's touch and go as to whether she'll need to be in there for a little bit).  We finally got the go ahead to induce this afternoon, but might still take a few days -- the whole process is definitely a lesson of some sorts for us control freaks! ;)

Hey folks!   Caitlyn was born June 3 - small (4 lbs 12) but feisty and healthy!

Mom had some fairly tough complications, but is out of danger and should make a full recovery over the next month or two.

Dad is a jubilant wreck taking care of the two of them  ;D

Hope you and the family get all caught up.
Don't have any experience with the child rearing myself, but I understand it only takes about 20 years for things to return to normal.  :P
