I am most shocked and saddened to humbly relate to those that knew the former SFC Gorn player Casca that he has passed away this week.
I first knew him about 4 years ago when I first started playing SFC and later knew him in the GFL. He was a good gamer and always played with honor. And, like any good Gorn, he always made sure that he gave this ISC player a hard time, even in the non-SFC games.

My deepest condolences and sympathies go to Casca's family.

Truly a sad way to end this night.
He was one of the 1st players I ever winged with on the d2. Truly a sad way to find out what has happened to old friends. :'(

A huge loss
Cesca was an incredibly cool guy, he was a great deepstriker and sportsman. I rememeber flying his wing on many of ocassion and the results were almost ivaribly victory. i cannot think of a wingman who I've had a hiher sucess rate with.
I hope Lotus is doing ok, anyone who has communications with her, please relay my heartfelt condolences.

I remember Casca from my GFL days also, a huge loss and truely sad news. :'(
I'd like to echo what Chuut said, my memories of Casca were that he was a cool guy and a lot of fun both on GSA and dynaverse campaigns, he also used to greet new members into the fleet straight away and gave any advice or tips. A huge loss indeed...
My heartfelt condolences go out to his family and friends.

Thank you for the post Karnak.
Casca was a member of the GFL (iirc) when I joined in 1999 and was there when I left in 2001. Believe he showed up here a few times too.
Pray his family is doing as best as they can.

Sincere condolences to his family. I remember Casca from way back in the GFL.. God Speed Old Friend.

Ack...I remember Casca as well...met him for the first time fighting alongside him during CW6. Good guy..good fighter. Had the opportunity to see him around in EVE, as well. I noticed I wasn't seeing him in the "SFC Comms" channel anymore...and now I know why.
My condolences go out to his family and friends. Good guy....he will be missed.

Sad new indeed. He will be missed by all who flew with and against him. A skilled pilot and a great sportsman...and a good person.

Most unfortunate. I didn't know him personally, but he will be missed. My respects.

Very sad news. I really liked Casca.
Thank you, Karnak, for letting us know. Casca was the rock of the Gorn confederation for many campaings. It was great having him in the game. It was even better having him on voice comms. When you heard that deep, calm bass voice in your headphones you knew you had a friend with you.
In all the years he played, in all the long, long hours he spent with us, I don't think I ever heard him say an unpleasant word about anyone. Jim Casca was just one heck of a nice guy. The world was a better place when he was in it.

I have added a reference to this thread in the GFL forums memorial thread to Casca where his family is sure to find it.
