Anyone ever make some Photons like the ones from Nemesis? And how about some Good Quantums? I remember seeing them and having them at one time but I can't find them on battleclinic and I can't find the disk I had them burned too. Help Please ;D

I have been able to at least change the color of the torpedoes, so I know the file is accessable, it may just be a matter of changeing the shape of them.

I changed the WeaponItems .gf file to allow the Rommies to use Gravimetric torpedoes, then changed the sound file using WinZip. Now my Rommies have nice green torpedoes. ;)

Speaking of Romulans in Nemisis (I guess Remans too for that matter) its too bad ST: Nemisis didn't copy a few concepts of SFC3 into the movie. Ya, I know SFC3 is probably not all that great of a game compared to SFC OP (I play OP a LOT more) but I did like how Taldren and Activision did approach how they implemented the weapon systesm in the game. They really did try to make the game more "Star Trek" like with Different kinds of Phasers and Disruptors each with advantages and disadvantages. Even Plasma Torpedoes are in it (not like SFC OP one) and it would have been nice if Nemisis not only showed Disruptors for the Roms but some Plasma Torps too. Would have been a nice touch. :)

Some of the weapons textures in here can easily me converted to work in SFC2-OP SFC3. It's an Armada site.
I use one of the quantum torpedo textures in place of photons in SFC2 and as Heavy photoons in OP. I use the Akira torps as photons in OP as well. Great site.

BTW. Probably a dense question, but which texture is for the phasers? (ph1 2 3 G 4?)

You can change the shape of the textures also, but it is limited since the photon effect in the game 'spins'. Even if the texture is changed to be non-rotational, it would still not keep the orientation that the Nemesis 'pulse' style torps would need. Or, at the least, be very troublesome in getting it to look decent.
An alternative would be to use a pulse effect since it is already set up to stay in the same direction and has a similar look and speed. In SFC3, the weapon damage amount can be altered so it could work at the expense of the original weapon. In the other SFC games, one could alter the Hellbore or the ESG Lance effect, though, again, at the expense of the original.

This thread has given me a great idea. Over in BCU our residential Sovereign modeler CG is making his 2.0 version with captains yacht. What i need is someone who has Nemesis and can record sounds off of it and onto a PC so we can have the actual canon sound of the Enterprise-E photons in nemesis. I already have found someone who can do the actual torpedo and scripts. I need someone who can record the sound of the photons firing one at a time. Do i have any help here?

I have a bunch of weapon textures you can look at as well. Gimmie a lil while and I'll get them posted.

I got dibs on the photon sounds, I'll post a WAV file later.... I'll even try nabbing the impact sounds, such as the ones that hit the Scimitar on the bridge (That's the best impact sound ever in my opinion).

Sorry fellas, there's too much backround noise to make it worthy.... plus they only ever fire in trios so that makes it impossible.... maybe if I scour the internet someone else might have caught a good one.... I'll ppost if I find something....

Do what u can i listened to the stock BC fed photon as someone suggested on BCU and it aint even close to the actual sound from Nemesis. I wis there was a way to filter out the backround music this would be a perfect addition SFC and BC
