Title: Can CV make break models??? Possibly...
Post by: Klingon Fanatic on October 05, 2006, 08:53:21 pm
 ;D

Okay there  I was, KF , trying to use the SFC3 CV program to reduce this QuD by 60% and I managed to maul it into partial transparency like a bad *_brk.mod file. It took me less than 30 seconds to do this and to see the results in Mod viewer.

I know CV doesn't like many kitbashed models [ e. g., the excellent C-7/wanderer kitbash by ModelsPlease] but maybe some of the mod gods that wont release a model without a break mod can use CV to mangle the model using CV for an expediant brk mod.

Just a thought.

Unfortunately, that's not what CV did (create a brk.mod). It, most likely, reversed/inverted the vertex order on some of the polygons. I've fixed some of those mangled CV models (after using it to do HPs for instance) by "recomputing norms" w/the M6 model editor and resaving.
