 ;D

Nice show!

My favorite part was watching the TMP era Romulan BOP cloak/decloak and fire.

Questions, questions, questions...

How did she survive [space suit would run out of oxygen] and who took her back to UFP or at least non-Romulan space?

It kept my attention and left me wanting to watch the next episode for sure.

Actually I think that is a pre-tos 'Enterprise' Romualn BOP as seen in the episode "Minefield".

She probably had to spend a good deal of time in the airlock, assuming it closed again.  (The airlock was still working after the torpedo hit)  As for how she got back from the nuetral zone.  I have no clue.

If you read about the project you may find it goes after TOS and before TMP ;)

Aye, but the bird of prey was in a flash back sequence to PRE-TOS...

Let me clarify my statement:

The end credits state that the BOP was by Saun Kennedy. Saun Kennedy's website has pictures of Atolm/Azel's TMP BOP which this clearly is. Wicked Zombie even did a lower poly version of this which is at his website.

Qapla!

And it might very well be, We don't have enough information about the Romulans to determine how long that class of ship stayed in service. So you may both be right  ;D

I wasn't trying to be a smart-ass about the 'TMP'  nature of the RBOP. I was awed to see one of our community members vessels in a Trek fan movie. The use of the TMP RBOP in ST: Aurora fits my line of thinking. Personally, in my corner of the Trek Universe, the Rihannsu quickly become the most advanced of the big three (F-K-R) but don't have enough resources to exploit that technological edge.  The speed in which the Rihannsu develop their own Star Navy designs after their alliance with the Klingons began is one of the factors their alliance will break up and it all came to a head with the Melak Warbirds at Nerendra III.

On the other hand, I know ST: Aurora is iset just after the TOS. "The year is 2270 (or just after the original series left off, and before the first movie)." I consider the end of  TOS as the start of TMP era and old TOS style designs having an extended life into TMP era is not so far fetched to me.

Yes, it is set after the end of the TOS five years mission, but the incident with the BOP, was when she was a girl, which would put it before the TOS five year mission probably by about 10-15 years or so.

I disagree. I think it puts it too far in the future. That is not the NX bop but rather the refit bop, the romulan equiv to the ent-A refit. How much time passed between the 5 year mission and TMP? Ofcourse, perhaps the reason the ship destroyed the cargo vessel but didn't pillage the cargo was because it was on a top secret test run. We know the vulcans have incredebly long test periods and the Romulans are an offshoot of vulcans. Perhaps Romulans have long test periods as well, before the field a new ship so it could still make sense.

Also folks, I did email the dude and he said it is ok for the cargoships and such to be made or anything that is his in the ep. I wouldn't mind seeing the aurora.

+1 karma for you Kana!

Smacks head over missing the OBVIOUS...

EXCELLENT point on your part Kana.

I still like the idea that this RBOP was an experimental RBOP that was having a shakedown cruise. Given the Rihannsu resource problem these RBOPs would not be mass produced before the TMP era commenced.

WZ has a model of the Rommie BoP. I got through the credits, it's Atolms BoP model made by Sean Kennedy!!!
