Finally, a truly unique looking fed! I LIKE the design although at first I had to take a second look to make sure that I knew which way was the front!
Excellent work as always!

strange but good looking design only the TNG-like bussards on the nacelles don't match the design
-
really nice design as always but it looks more dominion to me

You have great talent, but to be honest to me it seems too different. Federation/human ships have always followed a distinct design lineage. Some people see this as a bad thing but its what makes them distinct. Pushing boundaries is fine, but they can be pushed too far also!
I mean no offense my friend, as I say you are very very talented at what you do and it is a really interresting design, I just don't like too much change! lol. I'd see it more of an alternate reality Fed ship personally.

Yes I thought the same thing as well. Very Dom like. :)

The engineering hull looks kinda insect like. I think it'd look more Fed like with the "Connie cutout" on the rear, IMHO. I think the nacelles (and bussards) look fine. Real nice, actually.

You never cease to amaze Atolm. Probably the most original design I have seen in a long time.
-
CC22, just an observation. . . Atolm never said it was a Federation ship. Apparently it looked Federation enough for you to think it was intended to be a Federation ship.
Looks really good Atolm, whatever race it is.

It'd definitely a departure from traditional Fed design(which I'm normally not too wild about), but this design is intriguing as hell. I'd really love to see how this design would look in 3D with some shiny new clothes on. Someone model this please.

3D wise, there are alot of difficult concave on a sphere type areas. That would take alot of planning ahead, or a good boolean pluggin. I would love to see it in 3D though also.

I'll bet WZ could handle this one easily.

concaves ain't hard to do... not if you are good at doing extrudes

Then hop to it Tus, I can't wait to play this ship!!!

A very... interesting design. Its definitly a bit different then the usual Star Trek design. Where is the Bridge on this thing? Alsmost looks like a mobile space station then a ship.
I agree with others, doing the boleans on this thing could be difficult. At least of us Milkshape users. Make concave shaps with milkshape can be a pain.

The bridge looks pretty visible to me - top of the neck like structure near the front of the saucer.

i think this is excellent. it looks like a good fed ship, following a design lineage of the oberth class. ok so when does it get turned to 3d?
