Just wondering if anyone else apart from me is looking forward to seeing the new James Bond film?
Critics seem to be raving about the film so far, saying that the new bond actor Daniel Craig has a gritty, dark edge that was last seen when Sean Connery was in the famous spy role.

Looks good.
I never miss a Bond flick.

I haven't been to the theatre to see a Bond flick for a long time. I'll probably check it out on DVD though, it does look good.

I enjoy Bond flicks if I'm in the right mood, but since I read the books a lot of them (oddly more Sean Connery than Roger Moore: I suppose not emulating the source material AT ALL helps.:)) have fallen flat. Everything I've heard about this one makes me think it's the type of Bond flick I've always wanted them to make.
Hence, I am cautiously excited.

Went and saw it. Definitely darker and more serious than pretty much any Bond since From Russia With Love. If you're a fan of 'James Bond, Superhero', you might not like it as much as I did; This JB is human, even with the wild action. He gets hurt. He falls in love. He screws up. And when he operates...death or simple intelligence gathering....he's a blunt instrument, not a metrosexual playah.
I loved it. I left the theater buzzed and wanting to see it again.

Have to agree with La'ra.
It is gritty.
At one point in the film, he kills two guys and gets stabbed. He is supposed to be someplace else in a tux in less than an hour.
It shows him actually cleaning up... his knuckles are bruised and skinned just like mine have always been after a fight.
I definately liked this Bond movie.
There were still cutesy one liners, but this Bond is not cutesy....

I saw it thursday, and loved it.
I always thought that he would make a good Bond, and to see how much of a sledgehammer he could be....
Yet they still kept traces of that Bond humour, which was important, and made you appreciate it all the more.
Can't wait for the next one.

Good flick.
This Bond is more physical and cold hearted. Just what M needs.
"ARRRRUUUGGGHHHHH !! "
You'll know what that means after you've seen it. 8)

Every man in the audience squirmed. A lot.

This bond flick was quite enjoyable and much better than the previous incarnations.
*sigh* At least now we have a better understanding of why James never settles down later in life...

I just saw it a few days ago. I liked it a lot for the action, and most of everything in the movie, though to me he didnt seem too "Bond-like" in character, and the typical bond music also was much more limited. Either way though it was syill an awesome movie ;D

Reminded me of Russel Crow's character in Gladiator.
