Title: Converting .MOD to .X
Post by: Kana on December 04, 2006, 07:55:18 pm
Other than the SFC3 modding tools Rechacher, does anyone know of anyway to convert .MOD to .X without having to use like 3 or 4 different programs...?

Try milkshape it exports to DirectX8.0 it will overwrite exsisting x-file or write new one.
BTW whats wrong with recacher.

Everytime I use the recacher it seems to take forever to work.   I've only gotten it really work once...If you have any tips or tricks on how best to use it that would be great...I'll look into milkshape, but I think I need them to be in direct x 7.0 format.   As for what it is for, well I guess Legacy would be one good reason, but I have a wealth of models I would like to convert for use with another game (Space Empires V).

Well I tried Recacher again and just didnt realize that the .X file is made, and there is no report that its done.  Now my only problem is that it is in what I think I've heard is a binary format, and I need it in plain text format, any ideas on how to convert them to that format?
