Title: A Little Something for New Year's.
Post by: Alphageek on January 05, 2007, 02:08:26 pm
I wanted to bring you guys this episode of Doctor Who for a long time.  It's possibly the greatest show the program ever did.  The action is excellent, the effects (apart from the Magma Monster, which is only seen for a few seconds) are wonderful for the 80's, and the Doctor dies at the end.  There's greed, corruption, madmen, backstabbing, double-dealing, and death.  They even explain the celery on his coat.  I bring you The Caves of Androzani, with Peter Davison as the Doctor, and Nicola Bryant as his hot-ass assistant, Peri.

I often wonder how long it will be until youtube gets the pants sued off of itself...  the MPAA has to have considered it at some point in time.

I don't think certain rules apply to You Tube since you can't download videos from it.  You can only view them.

I dunno. It's all flash and it's easier than you night think to save cached swf files.

Other than the technical bits, what did you think of the episode itself?

Geek, you watch the 2006 Christmas special? I get the impression that in the season 29 promo at the end you see Davison... Almost positive!

Ok, maybe not, but that "76 years old" guy has a striking resemblance IMO ;)
