Joe is so personable, really a regular guy..While Frampton does have the talent, I've always felt Gilmore is more of a mechanic..
Joe has the flow in his fingers, and even live, he doesn't need the special backing bits, just the band, his guitar, and his amps (special tho' they are)..
I do hope he get's it, but he's not the stand out..but hey, Jethro Tull won years ago, and what a shock that was..which is why I think Martin Barre should be up there..play electric guitar, acoustic guitar, mandolin, banjo, flute, and anything else Ian Anderson throws at you, and do it for over 30 years...
Have a great one, we'll see

After being nominated 14 times for a grammy with no wins, I'd definitely like to see him take the statue home. Susan Lucci anyone? LOL
I'd also like to see him inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as well. I believe that his contributions warrant it. If nothing else, his teaching of other very successful players should indicate his amount of influence.

Especially "Always With Me, Always With You"..my personal favorite...
Well, we will see..Maybe Steve Vai can make a pitch
Finger Tappers Unite!!! ;D

My wife just reminded me of a cut of the "Satch Tapes" DVD where the Spinal Tap guitarist goes "Well, Joe has the technique, but I've got the volume..my amps now go to INFINITY"
If you have the DVD, well worth watching again..and I still think he looks better with the long hair ;D

But then you gotta realize..Satriani is only 6 months younger than me..and Vai about 2 years younger...
If I could play like that, do you think I'd be here on a cold and windy Saturday?

Well Moose, :) If you played like that, I'd be booking you all across Oklahoma and Texas. Hell I'm tempted to have you come down sometime, just for the Edmond Jazz Lab band.
The college actually has a club, where us old farts can go and play with others. It's alot of fun to be honest, esp. for us Music lovers.
Heck we might even talk Waldo into playing something, say like the cannon, or M-16. I'm sure we could arrange something. :D

I didn't know Steve has done some compositions and arrangements for orchestras. Interesting...

Thanks..I just ordered Satriani Live!...
Loved the Steve Vai info..didn't realize (though I knew in the back of my head) he was stunt guitar for 18 years..that's longer than some of these guys have been able to walk ;D

Well hey, you always have a room here. Just show up and you and yours will have a roof over there head. Of course that pretty much goes for just about every one here.
One of my next projects, involves an Older Trailer (a early 70's Model) and getting it cleaned up as a guest home. It's got alot of old boxes in it, and I need to go through it, but IT's still in very good condition. I figure, for $30.00 in taxes I pay on it every year, It would allow guests some privacy, and be a home away from home.

So which one is it..1, 2, or 3
