Title: Attn: Starforce and SFCers A perfect bridge for Challenger class and New Orleans
Post by: Sapharite on February 16, 2007, 05:05:59 am
I know some of you might now this design, however I would like to show you what I would consider as a perfect bridge for galaxy class family ships as:

New Orleans
Challenger class
Freedom class

What do you think?

Uh.... wrong game?

Currently the bridge team of BC doesn't take any requests, though.

I like the design, and the 3D pics are beautifully done, but it does seem rather bereft of actual bridge stations. Why have a bridge that large if you have nothing in it?

Bearing in mind these classes are lighter ships--escort vessels and scouts--space would be more at a premium and thus have wither a smaller bridge with these same stations, or this bridge with a few more stations in it.

Just my penny's worth. Take it for what it's worth. ;)

Yes I agree, it does seem to have a lot of unused or inefficiently used space.

Yeah seems to me it's a TOS era bridge with a TNG makeover, lots of wasted space.

Stick a tactical map Like the C had (or like on the SG1 promethius) on the one side. A smaller ship would probably use one of those to keep track of actions in it's patrol area. Otherwise the side pannels look too much like a galaxy class when they'd probably be more ent-c style (older than the D certainly) but the station arangement in the center looks like it'd fit.

Not bad  but I'm a fan of having some Symmetry in bridge design so if it was me I'd mirror the side station so there would be side stations  Port and Starboard. same with the turbo lift multiple access point are a good thing. Keep up the good work.  ;D
