I found a medic in Baghdad that needs soccer balls and shampoo and beef jerky! I am going shopping tomorrow. ;D Good thing I have a dig cam, they want pictures too, I'll show them Austin and my Disabled vet plates on my Camry! ;D

I didnt realize that the shape of US Army was really that awful, I read this thing there;
"Our living conditions are not aweful, we have electricity, 220 voltage, we have no microwave in the rooms, I am representing a criminal investigating office for the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command. Our females need hair products, feminine products, hygiene, the males need sports magazines, books, cargo pants (dockers-with pockets, sizes 34-30, 32-32, 36-32), (polo shirts, medium, large, xtra large), sheets, pillows, personal hygiene items. We also need snacks, drinks, Gatorade, chips, candy and sodas. Thank you"

Not so much the state of the army was that awful... there is just no way for them to procure them by themselves. Ebay sellers aren't shipping to Iraq :-p SO basically if you want anything that isn't "Army issue" it needs to be purchased there, or sent from here.
I love the idea, I think for my Bday I may just have people send some guy some nicely disgused porn (just kidding... I will find something useful.).

My guess is not "lack" but preference. Kind of like toilet paper... sure it is provided, but what they wouldn't give for some "charmin" brand name. I can't imagine an army issue tampon...
No really, if I try to imagine it I am pretty sure my head will explode.
