Even sadder... I have it on one of the CDs in my car along with a plethora of songs from my favorite animes. ;)
If you've ever wanted to get a 'OMFG, you're a UBERGEEK' look from a sorority girl, just get caught riding around in a Chevy 4x4 decked out with Confederate and State flag stickers, gun manufacturer stickers, and a few US Army stickers... and be playing 'Yatta' or 'Ready, Steady, Go.'

LOL, the mp3 and vid are available anywhere. Thanks for the offer, though! The video is funnier than the song, even when you know what the song is about!
I mean the CD. It's not so much the song that she likes as the comedians that sing it, and the way that they look doing it. She just wants it for the novelty/collector value of the thing... that and she's a J-Freak. At 6 months, I've already realized that the only honeymoon destination she'd accept in the event of marriage is Japan.
That's cool, though... if I do get stuck going to Japan, at least I can visit the Mikasa!

That she is, built by Vickers for the IJN back in the late 1890's.
Better, actually, than the battleships that Vickers was building for the RN in the slips next door.
She's the lone survivor of the Battle of Tsushima Straits, and the only warship remaining today that accepted the surrender of an enemy fleet on the high seas. She's been a museum ship since the 20's (IIRC), and survived heavy bombing in WWII. When the Russians- who originally wanted her scrapped- saw her pitiful condition after the war, they 'graciously' allowed her to remain as a reminder of the dilapidated state of the once proud IJN. MacAuthor, never a fan of the Russians, personally headed the efforts to restore her to the pristine condition she retains today.

Oddly enough I haven't had a response from them about Yatta and I have seen them since. I'll have to ask if they've checked it out yet.
