After hearing my parents stories, I just had to look at the pics that my dad took.
I am dreading when they go back to Norway in July.
Anywhoo, I am going to post some pics. If you want me to post more just say so. :)

The last one took me by surprise, a Russian sub.

If they were on the Volga, did they perchance stop at Volgograd (formerly Stalingrad)? If so, did they get any pics of monuments of the WW2 battle fought there?
-
Where are the hot Russian women? ;)
Nevermind, your dad is with your mom, hehehehehe. ;D

It seems as if everyone is going to Russia. My cousin just got back from a business trip there. he was able to take a guided tour of Red Square and got a lot of pics from it.

After arriving in Moscow, the next day they took a plane and flew to Volograd. Sadly to say he did not, otherwise those would have been the first to be posted. :)

Actually, he did. I will post them ASAP. ;D

Noticed the steering was on the correct side of the vehicles. At least they got that right.
Nice pics.

Russian, a language I cannot read. How did they find their way around over there?
-
Arrows.

From what I read in the 80's and from what my brother told me (He is married to a woman from the Ukraine who immigrated here in the mid 90's and has a kickbutt job at IBM in Kentucky) most educated Russians speak other languages and their culture really is not too different from ours, although they do tend to prefer Socialism vs Capitalism.
Looking forward to those pics of the women Cayne! ;D Tell your dad he is one ballsy dude, if I was in Russia or Mexico taking pics of women and wifey was with me? I'd be going to a VA gravesite pretty darn quick I imagine. ;D

As promised, here is the pic of some Russian girls.
WARNING: some of them are blurry, due to the fact that my dad still cant take pics w/ his digital camera. :)

Now you made me wish I had taken pics of the girls in Chihuahua, they have the Russian girls beat, IMHO. It's funny seeing the street vendors, that also reminds me of Mexico. I also see school uniforms? Is that what the girls in blue are wearing? In a way I'm all for that, just as they do in Mexico (Your color uniform tells people what grade level you are in, Jr. high, high scholl, etc... That eliminates people being looked down upon for not having the latest "fashion statements." You know how uncool some people in school can be.
Cool pics Cayne, keep more coming as I've always admired the Russians. F.Y.I. Many Americans are opting for vacations in the ex-Soviet bloc and Russia because our dollar is so weak and Europe has suddenly become very expensive. IMHO, it's a good thing, we need to interact with those people more, so they know us and we know them.
Captain Jack Sparrow "No, there will be no knowing here." "I thought I knew you..." ;D

I call dibs on the blonde with the sunglasses in pic3!!!
;D

pic 7, chick to the right, no bra, has a nice "chest profile," especially when it appears to be drenched in sweat. ;D

*sigh* Russian boys are better...and you know, I studied Russian so I can read the signs. :)
Funny enough, the very, very first picture in this thread has a "STOP" sign. Pronounced very similar to ours too...

Most of those road signs I can read and probably drive in Russia. ;D

The Russians have never been shy about adopting foreign words so just as with English there is no "pure" form.
-
Trust me, if you can drive in England and Germany, I'm sure that Russia would be a breeze?
-
I finally got to see some more pics which include Russian tanks.
Will keep you updated when I can get ahold of them. will post on a seperate thread.
