Title: If you put a Dash in you name, no DB edits for you
Post by: FPF-DieHard on June 10, 2007, 01:00:58 pm
The DB editor doesn't like dashes in the name and will crash often when I try to make edits.  From now on, if you have a dash in you name I'm not going to waiste my time trying to edit you account as more often than not the DB editor will crash and cause un-needed server downtime.

Whoops - I'll see if I can get that corrected.  Did you say earlier that periods were also causing issues?

No point in adding rules if we can fix the tools instead ;)

the periods only cause formatting problems when importing the data into Excel to run reports.   Don't worry about that, I've found a work-around.

I've never had a problem with dashes or underscores. Ever. Course there has been a new version or two of the editor since SG7. But, like these: Dizzy-L or Dizzy_F? Never had an issue. Things like these: /.';`!@#$%^&*()<>?:"][\ all those are bad.
