A question to all those more knowledgeable on starship specs than I.  in the attached pic i have marked what appears to be the phasers banks, shuttle bays, and torpedo tubes. My question is this, there appears to be no impulse engines on the ship -  should there be? Also there is no blue print of what the bottom side of this ship should look like so most of what will be there will be my best guess of what it should look like based on a combonation of other ships

There you go, this looks like it. Want a coloring guide too? ;D lol Dunno if you missed the nacelle strut phaser strips.

PS. use hex #EFEFEF for the hull color ;)

Thanks  Adonis, I had an idea that was where the impulse was but it just seemed a little small to me compared to the rest of the ship. And no I didn't miss the nacelle and strut  phaser strips I still have a lot of small details to add yet, also thanks for the color suggestion.

Don't forget there's a third torp tube on the neck under the saucer, in the same place the Galaxy's launcher is.

Great work on the mesh. Now with equally high detailed textures, this ship will be awesome :D

Vyrus, that was a quick map. How did you do it so fast - Mapping always seems to lull and slow me down.

Lots of practice and the fact that when I flesh out a mesh I do it with unwrapping in mind.f you start with a map friendly mesh mesh it speeds up the process 10 fold.

one thing on the pics that you have writing on the the two bay doors on the saucer if you look
closely have 2a and 2b.i believe the with the small door at the front of the saucer right above the saucer torpedo launcher the class has three shuttlebays and there is a total of three torpedo launchers one on the saucer one at the dorsal neck and one aft.but its coming along nicely i hope to see more

Unlike the BC Community, some of us here don't take offense when a thread is bumped.  It shows that people really like the work that was being done, which means that what we do is appreciated.  Like F_W said, the thread isn't forgotten.

How about you not get snide with me when all I'm doing is expressing appreciation and a desire for further progress on a model I myself requested to have made?

I'm not worried about it, FW. I just don't like being talked to like some noob by someone who evidently doesn't grasp that not everybody does things the same way the BC folks do, and I think it's overly arrogant to simply assume such and call someone out like that.

lol F9th.  Somtimes is seems that in curent event's it's best that we all get drunk, duke it out and find common ground.  Made some good freinds that way as we all have I'm sure.

On Topic:

Guys, FANTASTIC work on that model.  I'll be first to admit, I'm no moder but from all the things I'v seen it strikes pretty darn high indeed!
